Sound deadening.
Storage compartment mod... Way more space, the sound deadening is 3 to 4 layers thick here to prevent denting the panel and might have a sub in there.
The crack was there when I bought it. Have no idea.

worked on my rear storage some more. 8" support beams to give me about 9" tall drawer space:
added a support bar across the top and bottom to help with the rigidity.
corner supports welded in. ill be adding a few more throughout the system. im going to just be using large plastic containers/boxes to hold everything instead of trying to build drawers, so i chose to weld the bottom bar on the top of the frame to keep things from sliding out and hitting the rear hatch constantly. hopefully it works. if it ends up being a problem, i can always grind it off and weld it to the bottom.
this is my first big welding project, doing the entire thing with a wire fed lincoln weldpak and just teaching myself as i go. as you can tell im having to make due with what i have, like a piece of wood on a small table as i welding table. lol. also got my scangaugeII mounted up.
the blue backlight almost matches the gauges. still need to figure out the correct settings for it and the best things to display?

Replaced this and got 4H on the fly.
Also replaced 2 small plastic washers at the base of the auto shifter which eliminated the side to side rickety lever looseness.
Little things mean a lot.
Details on the washers? I also have the rickety shifter and would like to eliminate it

Which washers? I've got pretty bad forward and back play in my shifter, wonder if it's the same issue

I picked up the Sequoia wheels almost a year and half ago. Just put the Nittos on them as my winter set. This was a good opportunity to use them. The Toyos are two years old. So yes I do but not intentionally.

I was wondering the same thing... Pull the glove box, and a couple other small items as I remember and it's right there... Wow over thunk it I guess, but hey at least he knows how his dash comes out...

Short version; I'm an idiot.
Slightly longer version; I struggled for 30 minutes and couldn't figure out what the box wouldn't slide out, so I removed the whole dash. Then last night I remembered "oh yeah, there are hard lines attached, I bet I have to disconnect those."
Yeah, I totally over under thunk it. ::shrug:: so it goes.
So, historically, I tend to take short cuts. And historically, it bites me in the ass. So after I couldn't figure out why the thing wouldn't come out (see above) I said to myself "self, quick screwing around and do it by the book". Now all my selfs are laughing at me.
