The Dude's editing skills are getting better and better with each video we do. Sean not only helps with most of the repairs and has a really good mechanical mind, but he spends tons of hours editing each video making me look and sound better than I actually am. We've got a great partnership going, sort of like a Dynamic Duo.

I will say my project went a bit easier than yours. I got the LBJ nut off with just an 18" breaker bar and was able to tap the tie rod end out with a hammer because I had the LCA bushings replaced a few months ago.

I've been considering the same set up. how do you like the resulting ride with this combination?

The ride is spectacular. I finally got her on some forest roads the other day and this set up soaks up the wash boards great. On large bumps it recoils great. It has great flex for what I need it to do. I can do all the trails here in Sedona, AZ for reference.
Before this I had OME 60028 shocks in the rear with the 906 springs and it was real stiff. You would feel every crack in the road and on wash boards it was truck like. You would have to add some serious weight for it to feel comfortable.

I highly recommend this set up to anyone. It rides great on and off road. My buddy who owns a stock 3rd gen rode with me on the forest roads and he said my rig is more comparable to a new truck than a 3rd gen now.

Got the '99 quarter trims swapped into my '97!
Had to cut some sheet metal out to fit the bigger storage compartment-

It was what we were told to do and at the time it seemed like the only way, being that the evap is against the firewall, probably did it wrong an inefficiently but its done and Im to lazy to regret it.

Is it possible to remove the core with the dash on? We tried and there was no way it would fit, the dash is one piece so that is how it came off. Advice would be greatly appreciated for future reference

In my 97 I just had to remove the glove box and I think the blower fan.
