Picked up a pair of Tundra calipers for my 4runner on ebay for $100. They were advertised to be from a '05 4x4 Tundra that had only 92k miles on it before it was retired to a junkyard in MD. Hopefully they will be in good shape.

Havnt been on in a while, pretty since I finished my front bumper. Im ordering parts to add a swing out to my rear bumper from Comp4x4 tonight and gathering some steel tubing tomorrow from a local fab shop. This will probably be my last mod for a long while.

Have a job offer in South Carolina so I should be moving out of Taxachusetts in the next few months to a less socialist state. Also, just found out my wife is pregnant again and Im fighting hard not to get rid of the 4runner and getting rid of my bike instead. 3 kids in car seats in the back of the 4runner doesn't sound reasonable. Anyone done it?

Yes, and three adults. The kids had more room, but are the car seats all front facing or one rear? Imho it isn't bad and it was fine because we started that way. The other people I know who went from larger to the 3rd gen couldn't do it. I hope this makes sense and helps. .

T-stat 12/95, same month/year as the truck is built. Mostly opens and some degrees after 82c. Guess I'll replace it.

Nope on the waterpump, I replaced that on the first timing belt change, around 130,000ish miles (bought it with 119,666). Current one has around almost 160,000 miles on it.

This is the 3rd timing belt I've done on it.

THIS is the current situation on my first attempt from this morning with the thin-ass Walker gasket and the cheap-ass Walker Quiet Flow SS 54681 muffler:

aaaaaand... i just passed emissions! :jump:

My oldest is going to a booster so that should help. Middle child is front facing full seat for another year or 2. Thanks for the input!

If those are rack bushings, I'd be more excited about the candy. I hated every second of rack bushing replacement when I did mine.

Ever have a gremlin you chase for a while to no avail, only to stumble onto something bonehead simple as the culprit? The kinda deal where you hesitate to tell buddies cause you know they'll give you a ration of bs? I had that today.
Installed a trd 2nd gen supercharger a couple days ago. Ran awesome on a quick lap around the block. Came back, and cleaned up the details-nicely routed and loomed all the vacuum lines, bolted the wire looms onto driver side of s/c etc. Since then I've had a violent miss under 1/2 throttle or more above about 3k rpm. Did some searches, ended up:
-changed fuel filter (way overdue-like 250k overdue)
-free FMU mod (fuel regulator connects to boost to up pressure)
-extensively looked for vacuum leaks
-hose clamps on vacuum/boost lines
-changed spark plugs to ik22's and in the process, I see this:

When I bolted that loom up to s/c, I failed to see my plug wire needed to be slide through the loom a bit farther. The plug pulled up and loose. I fixed it, and ran around the block again to see-yup all fixed, hauls butt and no miss or pinging.
Felt stupid and happy at the same time.

It's often the little things that get you. The first thing I did when I got my truck was plugs and wires. I've been around a wrench or two so it was a no brainer. I get everything all put back together and start up the rig. 1 second later it dies. Two more times and it does the same thing. WTF? Am I really that stupid that I can't do a simple plug and wire change?

I had drawn a sketch of the wire routing plus the wires are numbered. So I get the diagram and check it. Everything is right. What the hell? I get on the old Google and pull up the engine cylinder number diagram. It verifies that my initial sketch was correct. Plugs and coil packs are all tight.

Finally I look over at the MAF. Yeah that little plug that goes into. You know the one I FORGOT to plug back in. Turns out that little guy is pretty important in these rigs. I plug it back in and the truck runs like a champ. Like I said, sometimes it's the little things. lol

I did exactly this on initial startup to test s/c. Forgot these things wont run without the maf hooked up. Too much time on 5.0's and LT1 cars where we were always messing with maf wiring/signals.

I figured. I read all the write-ups and watched every vid on youtube so I'm as prepared as I can be for whatever goes down. I'm expecting a messy mess because my underside is coated with Fluid Film.

Any helpful tips appreciated.
