My shifter was ridiculously loose and rattling. Opened up the assembly and found blue/green pieces of this bushing. Went to the dealer to get the new bushings. $4.23 each. Ugh. Online they were only $1.20 but I couldn't wait. Easy install thanks to the write up I found on this forum. Shifter feels brand new now! Highly recommend doing this. Thanks y'all.

Was a busy week last week, got my Shrockworks front bumper here in Japan, painted it and installed with my Warn winch. Very happy with the way it turned out.
Thanks to Mark at Shrockworks for answering all those early morning phone calls from Japan and helping all along the way!

Rented a RugDoctor to clean another vehicle, but since I had it I went to town on the 4Runner's carpet. Initially the plan was to just clean up the area where some soda had spilled, but these things tend to get out of hand, and the old girl I saw always way dirtier than I expect. Feels good to be on page 1420; smoke 'em f you got 'em boys!

Finally scored some leather seats for $80. passenger is in great shape, driver is in good shape except for a small tear which is still better than my current.
Also going to get some 2001 headlights, taillights and Limited floor mats. Didn't have the funds at the moment but they're willing to put them aside for me. They even threw in a sunroof visor.
** anybody have some visor brackets that go onto the sunroof and get screwed on the visor, they're willing sell or if anyone knows or a different method to install it.

Both are '96. One is pretty heavily modded. 175k miles, $8000
Figuring out loading pics but it has:
Outdoor logic bumper
Toytec lift
9,000lb winch
Upgraded clutch
All kinds of lights inside and out
Premium sound
New wheels and off-road tires
Several other things
It's very nice but thought it was maybe a little high for that milage and year.
He has spent some money on it though
The other is basically stock, 240k odometer but a new engine with 30k on it. $4500
Also has new radiator, water pump, timing belt, and shocks and coils.

Looks awesome! How was shipping that over? I can't imagine that it was cheap. I want to get some for mine too but since they have to way a ton, I was thinking about making one with a welder friend of mine.

Last night I turned the adjustment collar on the coilovers about 9 revolutions which was around 1.5" of lift to lose some of the rake. I never took a baseline measurement, but I don't think they came with 2" of lift set on them which made the rake pretty ridiculous. I also washed and hand waxed it for the first time since owning it. It's lookin' good now!
I've been trying to diagnose a problem too. When I am stopped and turn the wheels or just start or stop moving, I get a slight clunking sound. There's no play in the steering wheel, so I was thinking it could be the driver-side CV (since these are from the wrecked truck, and I bent the driver-side rear axle), but it doesn't happen when I am in motion. I took the ITRE boot off and saw the rack would jump a little when the steering wheel was turned back and forth (while the tires were off the ground). I was going to start with the rack guide, but is there anything else that would keep the rack from extra movement?

Japan is no different when it comes to Red lights! I have to be careful when and where I use them.
