What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Just seen your edited response from earlier. I have to research to see where could I get a new Cat Converter from a wrecked car? If so any idea what the (ball park) cost for one might be? What are the names for the two o2 sensors specifically? I would so do this myself if I knew what I was doing not scared of grease, but unfortunately I don't.

Here is the page with the O2 sensors, they are more expensive than I thought. Maybe you could get some used ones from a wreck too, it would be a gamble if they are good though.

Started my preventative maintenance today since I got off a bit early. Got the valve covers off. They look pretty damn good to me for 260k.

Can get afterarket cat for around $100 if I remember right. Magnaflow hi flow. Denso O2 sensors in my Amazon wish list are in the pic. Those are the ones I would need (sorry, forgot specs on yours (year and if CA spec)).
But still. I would having a second opinion on your system. A welded cat doesn't seem like a big deal. But again, I'm in Alaska and there's some pretty back hills, hill billy mentality going on sometimes....

I installed all of my new [inner and outer] tie rod ends and lower ball joints too today. Progress is being made!
Getting an alignment Wednesday morning and hopefully within the end of that week some CV axles too!

Does anyone know where I can perhaps get the cat delete for this model truck? And if I buy the parts myself will the labor be less expensive? All insights are appreciated. Thank you.

The significance of a California 4runner is that the upstream O2 sensor is actually an Air Fuel Sensor and the downstream sensor is the same sensor as all other 4runners.

Why would you want to delete the cat? The ECM relies on both sensor readings to adjust fuel trim - you will gain nothing performance-wise and get worse fuel economy.

If you have no emissions inspection in your county you can harvest what you need from a junkyard. You can easily inspect a used cat off a vehicle.

If performance is your goal look into a high flow cat or a complete cat back exhaust system.

I just found out the Cat converter was welded back on both sides so my truck is now struggling to drive normally because the cat seems to be clogged and the o2 sensors seem to come up bad based on a reading I recently got. Then I find it has two o2 sensors and one is apparently hard to find from what I was told. Not sure what type o2 sensors to even look for this model. As if that wasn't enough my battery is dead as well so it dies on me as soon as the truck is turned off and I have to get a jump in order to get to work. I took it to Advance Auto Parts and they ran a test on the battery. It's definitely not the starter. So I have no choice but to get a new battery. Any suggestions where I can get these parts for a decent price?

Also it's already at 200+ miles and I was concerned as to how much longer my truck would last me with proper maintenance. I provided pics in my previous post.

Wow, you've got a lot going on here.

Any competent muffler shop should be able to assess your exhaust issue. You can find out easily which sensors your truck needs by inputting your vehicle's VIN into one of the many online Toyota parts sites. You could also research it here as this is not a new issue - I'm also sure a parts store could look it up while you're buying a battery.

Good that you're willing to do the maintenance needed to get your truck running right and reliably - which will cost some money.

This is my only form of transportation for work so I need to get my truck running properly. I'm hoping if I do then perhaps the cost of Labor won't be as expensive. I would do this myself if I knew how to but I don't. So far everyone has been quite helpful.
