I was planning on just going straight to the battery, however now that you mention the disconnect, that might be a better option...

It's not a bad option at all. Warn is the only manufacturer that has a dual solenoid system. If one fails closed nothing happens. My winch isn't a Warn and has a single solenoid system. If that solenoid fails closed and your hooked up hot to battery the winch turns on. It doesn't happen often but it has happened. For less then 50 bucks to prevent that(as well as any possible battery drain) it was worth it to me.
Here's the unit I used and a pic of how I mounted it:

Nice. I have a 500 amp mega fuse between my battery and my Warn m8000. I wouldn't mind adding this as well. [MENTION=116387]Unner[/MENTION] has one of these as well. Pretty slick.

It’s more or less a rebranded Callahan kit which is more or less a rebranded Powerstop kit through eBay. Ended up only being $215 for the pads, rotors, and calipers.
The calipers and rotor casting looked really good out of the box.

I took it around the block to test them and came back to re-bleed the brakes so the black zinc coating hadn’t been completely worn off yet in the pic.

Yes I did see a difference. My ice pack stayed solid for 3 days. It definitely extends my coolers ability to keep ice. In fact ice froze to the yeti ice.
Go buy one for yourself and give it a shot before you bash on other peoples setups.

Figured out my breaker box downstairs isn’t wired for the Arc Welder - so there goes the homemade rack for now. Picked up a half rack on craigslist for 75 dollars and threw it up there. Gonna try and run some seafoam through it today and start figuring out how to make a low profile mount for the rack. Any suggestions are appreciated by the way. Been searching the boards without much luck (I did see the 1x1 aluminum and the 90 punched iron with bolts and fittings, still searching) since my welding machine is currently down.

Added USB/voltage plug. Started the day going to add the USB to the rear ashtray area, but decided to add it up front and order another usb for the rear.
Had to remove the center console and bezel from around the radio.
Then had to modify the bezel and dremel down a few areas so the threaded nut that holds the plug in sits flush.
The original hole for the 12v was smaller so had to hole saw it a hair larger.
The 12v socket is a pain to get out without breaking anything.. basically you need to rotate the chrome part so the large spaces in it line up with the black retaining clips, then you can push the clips in and remove the whole thing.

It's an easy install. I managed to do it without even removing the upper fan shroud. Just get the right length pan head bolts, a washer for each side of the connection, a lock washer for the disconnect side and 4 nuts. You'll also need about 18" of 2awg or less wire to connect from the battery to the box mounting location.
I was a little worried about mounting it there but I took a close look at my shroud to make sure there it wasn't cracked at all. It's been 9 months and lots of hard miles since. I'm pretty sure it's bomber at this point. lol

Thanks for sharing your experience with the yeti ice. I bought 2 for my rtic cooler hoping they will keep the ice longer.

Went looking for a universal mounting clamp for the 3 D cell Maglight, I want to mount it at the base of the front seat. I absolutely could not find anyplace that stocks anything like that and I don't want to buy blindly from amazon/fleabay.

I don't know what single clamp style things they have out there.. but I think I found these standard plastic mounts specifically for Maglites at a Harbor Freight or Ace Hardware type place.. mounted mine on the wall right above the drivers side wheel well in the back. Good luck on the hunt.

Somewhere between 120,000 and 150,000 miles since the last bearing replacement in '08. I got some squeaky noises driving home from work, on the next drive the abs was activating on stops. Parked it until I could crack it open and that was what I found.
No leaking 80w90, no grumble, just ta-da!
