Truck has been sitting on stands in the garage for the past 2 months working on it a couple of hours at a time now and again when I was so inclined. Just got it back on the road today.
Rear axle seals and bearings
Diff breather extension
New brake shoes
Brake fluid flush
New brake line
Oil change lube/filter
New parking brake cable
New marlin crawler shift bushing
summer tires on
Still need to do front differential seal and change the oil in the trans/transfer case and change the power steering fluid and clean the reservoir screen but that will wait. Truck duties are piling up for the spring.

I replaced my broken front stabilizer bar links with the longer 2nd gen rears. The bushings dont squish up at an angle now with a 2.5" lift so puts it back to normal. MasterPro K80380. Same part number as Moog so not sure if they are better or worse than branded Moogs but they were what was in stock at the store.
And put the longer 3rd gen fronts in the rear (Moog K90681). These Moogs look stout as hell but the threads on both were half threaded, distorted/bent, and they got the phosphate coating or whatever is on them on half of the threads. I had same problem last time I got these from Amazon. I think Amazon has a pile of defective Moog links. The last 2 I got from there were defective too. I couldn't be bothered returning them and dont have a tap and die set so I just forced the nuts on. The zerk hole wasn't even threaded so I forced those too, the joint is probably full of metal shavings now but end links are semi disposable on my 4runner so dont care too much.

Spent several hours correcting about 10 seconds worth of a missed step I made while installing my winch a few months ago.
I simply forgot to install the abrasion sleeve on the synthetic rope before installing the rope on the drum, and then putting the bumper on the car. Surprise! That doesn't fit over the loop on the other end of the rope. And I sort of tried a couple of times to try to get the rope out of the drum with it all installed, but there's not a lot of room behind it, and you're working totally blind, and really, I would have had just as much trouble trying to reinstall the rope afterward.
So I just took a few hours and pulled the bumper, removed the rope, slid the sleeve on, reinstalled the bumper, and wound it back on.
I pondered a velcro-on sleeve for a bit... decided that would probably be enough of a PITA to warrant just spending the time to put the one-pc sleeve on.

Finally got to enjoy it after a long year of maintenance on it and upgrading/replacing worn out parts. Cant wait to take it out on some trails and break stuff. haha.

I would be a little leery about a shop that changes tires in the parking lot on a floor jack without jack stands.
I guess safety doesn't come first there. Lol

at 190k, I need lower control arm bushings
I decided to buy a old corolla for a commuter for a few weeks, could be a month and refresh the entire front end. upper and lower, ball joints etc even though I did the lower ball joints shocks and springs about 40k ago
so a month you say...well this time of year I'm lucky to get a day off a week and to work on my rig its a 100 plus miles to my sons where Ive got space and tools ( I live in bum fuc* no place in the mountains and I'm 65)
so driving to my sons, working on the truck , I'm lucky to get in a few hours a day. I'm thinking buying some uppers and lowers from a wrecking yard, press in all the new parts and then swap out, then Ill have to leave it behind to get to an alignment shop
what pisses me off is that the snow is now gone from most of my favorite after work drives( well several still have a foot plus), the fish are hitting big time
but from estimates to do the lower bushings, I will bite the bullet and do the entire front end and not worry about it for another 180k and then give the corolla to my grand daughter when I'm done who just got her permit

I picked up this 3rd gen last month with 105k on it. Since then I've....
-changed the radiator/timing belt kit
-replaced the lower ball joints
-outer tie rods and both sway bar end links
- done the Fuel Sender TSB
- OME shocks/springs all the way around
- SCS Ray 10's w/ Duratracs
