Not exactly today, but just came back for the 300km (186 miles) drive to get to my family.
Bro in law worst at Hyundai, and he can uses the shop there on week-ends.
LBJ on both sides (NAPA brand, seemed ok, truck is a rust bucket I didn't feel like spending 200$+)
Outer tie rods too because the castle nut would just NOT let go.
And I got to use/man a 4-wheel alignment machine because my bro in law didn't know how to do it.
Pre-repairs I had 2.79° toe OUT on the driver side and 2.1° toe OUT on pass... No wonder the tires where dead (flat on the inside and still over 1/2" threads on the outside!!!)
Here is the specs after repair (top section is eyeballed quickly before getting on the machine). It's in French, but symbols should make it understandable.
0.01° thrust angle for a 21 years old truck is pretty good I think...
Also changed out the tires for fresh Wrangler Territory 235/75R15

Swapped transmissions out in my newly acquired 99 Limited, to only find out its doing the exact same thing it was before, same not wanting to go to second gear, same p0758 code and all. So, at this point, I'm guessing the old trans was good and the problem is probably in the ecu or harness. Probably should have dug a little deeper before I dove in, but hindsight is always 20/20. At least I am only out $200.00 and the better part of a weekend. Still sucks though.

Dude, always go to the primo lot, the regular lot is all first and second gens and the roaches of the lot. $5 no holler, go primo.
I plan to go next weekend, but it will be a veritable mad house there. At least they give out free water on deal days.

Pulled my driver side running board to start temping in my sliders.
Pulled my bumper to re route trans cooler lines and install my winch, which did not happen. Ran I to trouble with the winch install, pushed to next weekend.
Installed my RCI skids, well the front one. The trans skid was too short, because I have a 2WD. Deferred trans skid for another time too.

Got $250 worth of junkyard crap that I don't need, but couldn't pass up when I came across a beautiful '00. And I wonder why my projects never end.
I've been waiting for one near me to pop up cause I need to replace some trims cause I cut dumb holes in some places... lol

Yeah, the 40% sale days are not for the faint of heart. I went a couple of times in the past, but now I actually avoid them, too much of a madhouse. It's a bad "people to 4Runner" ratio

Figured out why my rear end was all over the place. Broke my first upper control arm in the rear. Thankfully a buddy was parting out one for the rear diff and trans and I was able to source some spare parts for the Moab trip. Took 10 minutes to put in the new one and we're rock solid again!

Replaced my timing belt (aircabinman's kit) and radiator last weekend. First radiator had a leak, second radiator had a broken petcock and overflow connection was also broken. The third radiator seemed to be problem free. Camelback was great about resolving the issues quickly. [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION] & [MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION] timing belt video was a great resource. Can't thank you guys enough for the quality videos you guys make.

Last night I ordered some Moog 81041 and some Beck Arnley brake shoes to fix the cracked ones. If the box from RockAuto arrives on schedule, Thursday morning will keep me bust for a few hours.

New ground cable and military terminal
Power post for the rear cable for the OBA and Anderson
New (old) front dif brackets, better shape than what I had
I dunno, lots of stuff requiring more contortion than my old ladybody cares for.
Oh, and somebody bought a couple of new head scratchers and something I'll have to not knock off in the woods...
