The bumper is mounted to the frame and is built with a stock body height in mind.
The body lift moves the body up away from the frame and above the stock body height, therefore creating the gap.
Flat tire+extra tight lug nuts via dealership+awkward OEM wrench+suspect wheel locks = a easy spare swap turning into 48hrs of excessive cursing and struggling to get a broken wheel lock off, bumming rides to tool stores and questioning my general sanity.
In the end, it took banging the lock key with a hammer to dislodge the broken shard (which refused prying, cutting, drilling), hammering key onto the broken lock and with a final Clark Griswold Christmas Vacation-level push, forcing it free. Thankfully tire was patchable. Ordered replacement lug nuts; these locks are going in the dumpster!!!:frusty:
Everybody is super new to something at some point, right? Hopefully I'll be learning stuff right up til my last breath!Ahhh, makes sense. Thanks a lot. I'm still super new to all this and hope to learn a whole lot more. This place is an absolute wealth of information!
Did you reclocking your winch to make reaching the freespool handle easier to access?

Also pulled apart my back wheel to try to figure out where I’m getting a fluid leak from.
Gonna install tomorrow, I just looked at the factory shaft flanges, one is thicker than the other, but also one set of bolts is 1.25 inches long, and the others are 1.5 inches long.I also got a new rear shaft for my 99 limited from the same place. Were the front and rear flange on your new shaft thicker then the oem? Leaving less threads for the nuts to grab.
