Took her out to check out broken arrow, not prepared for any 4x4 action I just poked around on foot instead.

Submarine Rock has the best views in that area and it’s easy to get to, even if you’re hiking in from the dirt parking lot. The 360 degree view from the top is something else!

Edit: it looks like they packed in a lot of dirt on the lower half of that pic of the first obstacle since I was there this spring!

Yesterday I got my new Geolandar AT G015 275/70R16 mounted and I installed the back suspension of my Eibach Pro Truck lift kit. Tomorrow I'm having the front suspension, Energy Suspension rack/pinion and front sway bar bushings installed along with an alignment.

So far I'm happy with the look of the lift and can't wait to get the front done!

I got foam flying out at me too, when I got the doors out the foam that was left just broke apart easily. The old gasket wouldnt shut out the air flow anymore, there was a big gap around the door where the foam deteriorated. I just got a roll of weatherstripping and used some contact glue spray. I have a feeling you would have to buy the door with new foam or maybe the whole vent assembly (55650-35020) door part number (55881-35010)

I currently can’t create my own post. So giving this a try. I just bought a 01 4Runner sports addition with 260,000 miles for 3k. Good deal or bad? I have a crimes stopper 1 way remote starter laying around. My question is do I need a bypass unit also? I currently have a keyless entry with an alarm i think. Any guidance will be helpful. I tried searching the forum before posting but found nothing.

Installed Stubbs sliders

Had the sliders sitting in the garage for a couple months - already powder coated and ready to go. Finally got around to welding them up.

I got them lined up and fit the way I wanted, then bolted them on with a couple temporary bolts. Made it easy to hold them in the correct position until I finished welding, and I did not have to work around jackstands or anything else holding them up.

Took my seats out to steam the foam to rejuvenate them. I also replaced the driver seat foam and a new leather for the driver seat and move the old one over to the passenger. Actually not that bad of a job.

Grabbed some Tacoma manual hubs with the usual north east salt brine patina. These are hard to come by in these parts cause most of them have been scrapped on the frame recall. Will clean these up and add a lot of front end upgrades.

If you are referring to the rock sliders i just welded, no. I used a MIG.

When running on 230V, that machine can easily weld up to 1/4" think plate. I had it turned almost all the way up to get good penetration.

Here's the whole lift Eibach lift installed. The shop also replaced my sway bar bushings and the ES rack/pinion bushings. The RP bushings were really bad. It feels good to go straight down the road with the steering wheel clocked correctly.

First impressions of the ride are very positive! Not harsh at all but not too soft. I don't have many miles on it but I'm happy with the ride and look. There doesn't seem to be many people using this lift on the 3rd Gen so once I get more miles on it I'll try to do a proper writeup. I got it for $593 shipped which was a great deal so out of all the configurations I considered, I figured it was worth trying.

While I was loading up for Big Bend tomorrow I had an idea on how to keep some of the loose items up out of the way and secured. A simple small string loop around the metal arm under the catch for the cargo cover. Overall it works pretty good.

I didn't measure before hand but I'll take some measurements later today. If I had to guess I would say it's about two inches. I'll attach a photo from when I first got it and you can try to judge for yourself too. Keep in mind that in the photo the tires are half worn stock size cooper At3 vs my new 275/70 which I think are about a half inch bigger in width and diameter. I'll also say that the vehicle seems to be sitting level after the lift with no noticeable lean and I believe both front springs were the same length.

I got the kit from Wheelwell.com out of California. It was my first time dealing with them and it was a good transaction. Their price was $645 with free shipping but I saw that they had a "Day After Halloween" coupon code. I wasn't expecting it to work work but it did and at the time the code was only good for another 8 minutes so I jumped on it. Tire Rack had a good price on the kit too but I'm not sure if it had free shipping and they were out of stock. Wheelwell immediately sent me another coupon code for 10% off another purchase so I bought Energy Suspension front and rear sway bar bushings, front coil spring isolators, and locator bar bushings. My rack and pinion bushings were from Wheelers.

Installed new plugs, (think they were original NGK on one side Denso on the other) replaced pcv valve & air filter, cleaned the MAF & TB. Running smooth...

Thanks! I think for a daily driver it's not crazy and I don't plan on doing much more to it. I know 275/70 isn't popular but I figured it was a little bigger and wouldn't be a big impact on the speedo or gearing. Now that the lift and tires are on tomorrow I want to make front mud guards out of 1/4" black kydex.

It looks like the upped their price a bit to match everyone else but shipping is still free and they have a coupon code going now.
