What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

.... I bought upper and lower seat covers and new lower foam cushion on eBay and paid an auto upholstery place to do the install. All told, I spent around 600.00 on the driver's seat. Passenger side should be about 400.00.

The stock foam cushion is kinda stiff...is that eBay foam any softer?

I think the eBay foam was OEM. It feels stiff now but I've only had it for a day.

You got 19 years from the CV boots? Do you rub armorall on them each night before you brush your teeth?? The napa maxdrive ones are pretty good for the money. I enjoyed the video I bet there is some good mtb trails in those hills.

Yeah I don’t know how they lasted as long as they have either but the boots are like elephant skin. And yeah i think there would be some good single track at the top of the mountain but few people hike the trail.

Got some 5th gen 4Runner TRD Off Road take offs with 3K miles on them. Also picked up a set of Goodyear Wrangler A/T Adventures w/ Kevlar. Got them put on the rig yesterday and I'm loving them so far. Updates the look and allows me to do the TBU now. Plus, the factory wheels were tired and showing their age and tires on them were also on their way out.

Around here (NorCal) there's no need to ever buy tires for a 3rd gen. You can go on Craigslist on any given day, and there's 20 sets of brand-new takeoffs and tires for sale at less than the cost of 4 decent tires.

Yeah, there were some take offs with tires but they didn't have the tire I wanted. Wheels were dirt cheap though, I was surprised at how little people want for them. I guess they just get new ones and have no use for "old" ones.

And apparently paint has been ordered for my hood, hopefully it'll be the older azure blue pearl but whatevs, looks like it's not going to stay entirely green after all.

I got "lucky" and found a white scoop on car-part.com in Illinois for $75 plus $25 shipping. It's in pretty good shape except for one minor nick in the paint. Not cheap but still a cheaper than buying it new plus the hardware and then painting it.

That is super-lucky!
I'm pretty sure azure blue pearl w/scoop is not going to show up on car-part- or about anywhere else. My hood will end up costing about the same, but probably not as pretty as yours and definitely a lot more work.
