Sounds like a good start, but why no the front diff, transmission, coolant, brake and power steering fluids too? They are all consumables too...

Might want to give some Serious thought to replacing the lower ball joints (LBJ) as they are a failure-prone design and when they fail, the front wheel falls off. And then the radiator, which doesn't fail as often but when it does, it takes out the transmission (trans cooler is integrated, failure mixes coolants with ATF). About $350 in parts (you need new bolts for the LBJ) and a couple hours time.

Unfortunately its a 2wd 4runner. Coolant has been replaced by PO (new radiator) and I forgot to add that I also flushed the brake fluid when I put on new rotors and pads. I'm going to take it in to the dealer for them to flush the trans - after reading some threads about the process I'll save that job for them. I'll do the power steering fluid too at some point.

Purchased a new front bumper, ARB 3423040, from Bumper Superstore. In stock, will be here next week confirmed.
Purchased all new control arms, ball joints and tie rod ends. Just went out and sprayed everything w/ PB blaster in anticipation of the work.

If anyone has any builds for those two projects that would be cool to see some links. But I’m sure I’ll be ok.

I'm in the market for my 2001 3rd Gen Runner and noticed your ARB number is for a Tacoma. Will that fit ? Does it require some major mods if it does?

My 96 limited 4x4 got the AT/P light only when I put it in park. Google showed that light comes on when transfer case is in neutral and transmission is in park. But the transfer case is in HI and light only comes on in park. No other issues would anyone have any advice to offer?

Today's journey of 4runner problems was the lovely 4LO system. It decided to stick in low and not come out until taking out fuse and switching back while it was out then putting it back in

Pressure washed the shit out of it after running trails this week post storm. Relubed all heim joints and uniballs. Regreased all zerks...driveline and control arms. Pressure washed all the clay/mud to the grass...hate myself for doing it haha. Guess I'm reseeding the lawn in spring.

Fall cleaning. Removed the throttle body. Cleaned it and the idle air control valve. Replaced a faulty throttle position sensor.
This was my first Saturday off in months and, even though I didn't solve my problem, it was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Hey I poured sea foam down the vacuum line of my car and let it run it through it like your supposed to till it kills it and then waited about 15 minutes went to start it and it just cranks now I’ve already replaced the spark plugs and plug wires and checked all my fuses and vacuum lines and I can’t fingers anything out does anyone know what it could be?

I've never once heard of anyone - at least anyone that knows what they're talking about - advise pouring liquid into your cylinders until your motor chokes out. I have a feeling seafoam would agree with me. I know what you're referring to, but I don't think even most rednecks would advise doing it to anything other than a shitbox you don't care much about. Does it sound any different? Are you throwing any codes? If no to either of them I'd think it's just too rich to turn over or something, and I'd wait a while and try again. And also change the oil cause there's a good chance a bunch of it will seep down past the rings.

Spent some money lately :crybaby: Fun to spend it on the 4Runner, though!

- One of the joints inside my double cardan failed, so I installed a Tom Woods rear driveshaft. Too much trouble to find good replacement joints
- Swapped all marker/flasher/reverse lights with LEDs and new flasher relay. Tried the lower brake lights, but it caused an ABS code. Any ideas?
- Put LEDs in the gauge cluster and other interior areas.
- Installed Bilstein rear shocks.
- Flushed the brake lines and did the 199mm TBS.
- Still waiting on SS brake lines to come in, so I can swap those out!
