I'm using a smittybilt XRC Gen 3 which is the most compact unit they offer I believe. It BARELY fits in the space provided so I would use its dimensions as a reference for the max size - there's seriously less than an 1/8in of free space on all sides. You can typically find the dimensions of the winch hidden in product descriptions

today was CV Axle day. Boot was completely torn open so went ahead and swapped both while I was at it. Sure I could have re-booted them, but just opted for new and I'll re-boot em so I have spare(s) on the shelf at home =P

next up is new front/rear springs and rear shocks.....maybe next paycheck lol

I've only had mine for 3 and in a similar boat, dropped quite a bit of cash (at least I got a really good deal on mine). I decided to go with some duralast axles and will reboot what I'm pretty sure are already rebooted OEMs. Good to have the spares if you do any amount of offroading I figure but also nice to know I can get to that messy rebooting job at a more relaxed pace.

I ran into a similar situation with an X20 10k in a Coastal Offroad closed-top
bumper kit. The winch rope gets crazy close to the core support brace.
I feel if it's not perfectly spooled, it could get snagged. I'm flattening what
I can and will swap out the bolt(s) with smoother button-head Allens.

Scrambling to get the winch set up led to this:

Damaged beyond reasonable repair, I sliced up my Coastal Offroad bumper to
make an "OEM+" cradle paired with one of the few '98 fat lip bumpers out there

Things are still a bit warped, and I'm planning a more permanent solution, but I 100% trust what's left.
The original bumper however, I would consider somewhat light-duty right now though...

Replaced my upstream O2 sensor with a Denso replacement. Hoping to improve my MPG just a little, sitting at about 17 combined which i know is what is advertised in the owners manual but I read on here some folks getting up to 20 combined...

Install was pretty simple once i figured how to get the plug unplugged. Couldn't clean the mating surface much, it was all rusted so i did my best but i don't have a lot of patience doing things like that.

Checked out the downstream sensor while i was under there and the nuts are all sorts of stripped. If i ever have to replace it i'll have to cut them off, but thats a future worry.

Replaced the original Heater Control Valve (HCV). Part number is: 8724035070, "HVAC Heater Control Valve."

Easy job, even for a relative newbie. Hose Clamp pliers helped a lot. The original HCV's plastic had broken off and was stuck in the hose, to I had to beat on the hose to get all of the plastic pieces out. The bolt is a 10mm that's not super tight.

A new OEM HCV was about $160 from the stealer but I was able to get it overnight after I ordered it yesterday. Plus I had to refill the coolant reservoir with the pink stuff, which was about $37 for a gallon. I didn't need to use the entire gallon.

It took me about an hour to complete the job. Here are the pics:

Good job on getting it fixed so quickly! Next time you need parts there are cheaper sites out there for OEM parts vs going to your local dealer if you have the time to wait for parts. I personally use amayama.com, but a lot of people use parts.toyota.com or camelback toyota or mcgeorge toyota. Amayama typically takes a few days longer to arrive since they ship from UAE/Japan but the prices are usually lower than anywhere else.

I don't think anyone is getting 20 combined unless they are doing 75%+ highway driving or they live in a place without many stop lights. I probably get around 18-18.5 combined if I'm doing a 50/50 mix.

I ordered 5 new tires. The old 285/75/16 KO2's are about worn out, and they've gotten really slithery and slidey on damp pavement. Time for new rubber. I'm going to try out a pizza cutter size - 255/85/16 KM3's.

The old KO2's: 32.8" tall, 11.3" wide, 58.6 lbs
The new KM3's: 33.1" tall, 10" wide, 59 lbs

I did think they'd be a bit lighter, but they're not. Just a bit taller, no added weight.

I have the Toytec/Bilstein 3" so this would be pretty close example for you.

You'd get more help if you shared the specs of all the running gear on the wheels that rub.

What is stock, what is not? Tire size, spacers? all wheel dimensions if not OEM, UCA mfg/model, all lift specs, the model year.....I could go on but that's a start........
