No, it is not.
Drat well that's useless for me. Made the mistake of trying to car camp with inflatable mattress in the 20s once. That was miserable....most extreme Cold Butt Syndrome I've ever experienced.
No, it is not.
It was only $2k, and I bought it knowing it would need a little work. But it starts/runs fine, there's no rust, and the exterior looks great.Sounds like a fun project vehicle, did you get a good deal on it at least?

Messed about with the leaking passenger side CV and it didn't really feel unseated. And it did wiggle up and down very slightly. And at some point I realized that while almost everything else on the front driveline is now new, I just took a junkyard high mileage non-ADD passenger leg (even if it wasn't spinning for 98% of those miles...) and stuck it on without ever really looking at the bearing or the seal.Oh, and drove it to do a little shopping and noticed a little oil dripping, looks like I didn't seat the passenger CV shaft in the diff quite all the way, there's a tiny little gap and that's where it's leaking. Need to get under there and give it a couple more little taps. Not now, though, it started pouring rain outside.
Sounds like a damn good deal to me then, especially with no rust, a good exterior and a running drivetrain.
Been an ongoing project but added the final part today to complete the rear end. Repainted tail gate, added a Hilux Surf roof tip spoiler.
Fitted a tow hitch and refitted bumper with repainted plastic trim.
I put in a Koyo radiator several years and probably 60,000 mi ago. Zero issues. Part of me thinks they were the oem supplier, but I could be wrong. I think denso also makes 3rd gen radiators. Are you bypassing the transmission cooler in the radiator?
I bought a Rightline Gear SUV tent to go with the Airbedz Air Mattress. This setup will be my retirement home...

Anyhoo, I did a test fit today to make sure it would fit the 4Runner and sure enough, it does. I didn't setup all the guy lines and such or cinch everything down. I just wanted to make sure it was good to go.
We'll be using this setup Memorial Day weekend.
How big is that tank? Nice solution that gets all the benefit of spare tire location swap with the explodey potential.
What????
I think he means 'without' the explodey potential? The spare tire location can get crushed if you get hit really hard.

Yeah I was thinking of the old Pinto controversy (which funny enough was overblown as they had a slightly better safety record than the average at the time). And yes I meant to say without, phone typo or maybe I was tired.
