I have a couple dents like that, but mine are from trees.

Yesterday, somebody in a parking lot got me 2 brand new bumper dents for Christmas. I didn't want them, I don't want to keep them, and I really wish I could give them back but, I didn't know I had been given that gift until 20 minutes later as I walked out of a different store and approached the 4runner from the rear this time.
The really great thing is I saw the lady who was parked next to me standing in front of her white SUV looking at her car and when I walked from the front and went between our vehicles to get in mine, we locked eyes for a second or two and she promptly jumped in hers and left. These aren't the only dents in my 4runner BUT, they are the only ones that have been acquired since I've owned it. I know its not a huge amount of damage and can be fixed pretty easily but, its the lack of accountability and principle of the whole thing. Its principalities in this.

yep sucks when that happens, about 2 weeks ago someone gave me a love tap in nearly the same spot

Today I ordered a 2nd ECM for my 96 4 runner. The first one i ordered got cancelled and refunded my money. I called them and asked why they cancelled the order, they replied they didn't have one in stock. When I asked why they posted one for sale on Ebay if they didn't have one in stock they just said "Sorry". I won't post who did that to me, but be careful who you order from. this Ebay seller had over 12,000 sales and a 98% approval rating. Ya just never know who you're buying from.

had a fun job yesterday that took about 6 hours total. I replaced the front and rear sway bar links after noticing the bushings were shot. Also replaced the cv axels and during that fix I noticed the lower ball joints were bad so I went ahead and replaced those.

The toughest part was trying to remove the old ball joint. This 99 4Runner has about 265k and it doesn’t look like any of the suspension has ever been changed. The one thing I can say is bravo to Toyota for making a durable long lasting part.

A couple years back i was looking for something very minor, I can't remember what it was exactly but it was some gun or car part that costs $20-ish. Found one on ebay for $2500, so I messaged them and asked if that was a typo and they meant $25 instead. They replied with telling me they currently don't have any in stock and don't know when they'd get more, so they hike the price up to discourage people from buying...
Why not just take down the listing???

My dad helped me install a replacement antenna on my '98 yesterday. He had put a shorty antenna on it when he bought it, but when I bought it from him, the antenna was loose. Well, I took it through a car wash a few weeks back and it ripped that antenna off. Today, I am searching for replacement bulbs for the HVAC controls and one of the bulbs for the license plate is burned out. Am also having problems with the bulb for the rear hatch. It doesn't want to come on when the 'door' switch is on, but will come on when the 'on' switch is on. Gonna replace that bulb and see if that is the issue.

Rear sway bar snapped on the trail, so I removed it. Installed limit straps to keep the rear coils from popping out.

One last attempt of trying to get rid of this P0420 code. I’ve replaced both O2 sensors and cleaned the intake with no luck. Finally I have replaced the mass airflow sensor and reset the code so we will see if that does the trick.

I also took the running boards off. I’m really happy with the look after this. It definitely gives it a better looking stance. On to new shocks and rear OME 906 springs next weekend.

I recently replaced the bulbs on my climate control as well. I found some for a decent price on eBay. Be very careful taking off the trim bezel. Those things can be brittle and mine broke a little in the corner. Good luck!

Nice, which ones did you go with? I read about some TRQ ones recently, so maybe we don't need to be rebuilding them anymore?

TRQ BDA06856 look legit. Tried sliding the pieces as if closing door with hand and finger pressure against bench edge.
Not happening.
They're tight, come with felt like wiper for arm like OE. (black edge of wiper in pic)
Hinge pin takes effort to swivel mounting bracket, enough so to think yea that gonna be a squeak lube it.
The rubber cushion edges you can flick with a finger flexed easy, never flicked a new OE.

Don't forget doors are decently heavy and apply a ton of leverage on them as well. If you were able to articulate it easily by hand then I wouldn't have much faith in it keeping a door propped open

Sounds like you have a block somewhere. If it whines with tires off the ground then it's very likely.
Unless you're using PS fluid instead of ATF, then that's certainly your issue.
The guys running 37s use factory pumps so overall delivery shouldn't be a problem, especially if you're on 33s like 75% of users here.

We are almost twins here. Replaced my O2 sensors a while back due to a random P0420's here and there - then it got worse! Cleaning the MAF is a good idea - that may never have been done on my truck.

Also, I just replaced all the bushings on the rear suspension and have some 906's that I'll be putting in tonight to replace the '14 4Runner springs I had been running previously to button up that project.
