How hard of a job was that? Was it as simple as I'm envisioning (e.g., remove those little stanchions, cut old tweeters out, put new ones in, and bake 'em)?

Well the way I did it was to remove part of the new tweeters cover and then set it behind the factory mesh. I used 3M doublesided mounting tape and finally got it to work.
His way might be better. It was a pretty tight fit when I installed each one back into the door.

Just got both LCA's dropped, getting new bushings pressed in Monday morning. Putting new shoes on next week: Cooper Discoverer STT's, in 285/75r16

Changed my plugs and wires. First one was in there so tight it was slipping on the socket. All the others were cake. Did an oil change while I was at it.

Today: removed old radiator. Installed new koyo 1998. Filled up with new zerex asian formula. Topped off the tranny fluid to replace the 2 cups or so that I lost in the swap. Topped off the wiper fluid. Installed a new pair of Sylvania Silverstar Ultra headlight bulbs. Took it out for a 6 mile test run after cycle testing the radiator in the driveway. Then washed her up. Been so long, i forgot the front wheels were silver.

I added ~15hp today...
Ordered some of that CF Wrap stuff that Skidmrk was using... Decided to practice by wrapping the key fob. It's kinda a pain on small things like this... I cannot imagine it being to hard to do larger things.

Awesome! I put these wheels and some knock-off Dunlop tires on today from a deal I got on Craigslist. 265/70 series tires on my stock suspension. Wheels and tires sit more flush now. :guitar3:

Today I accomplished a lot. I replaced my stock inner and outer TRE's, LBJ's, and CV's which had 181,000 miles with new Tacoma outer TRE's,LJB's and 4Runner inner TRE's and CV's. I knew I had some slop in my steering but after everything was put back together and I went for a drive the steering has some serious improvement. I can't believe how much better the steering is.

took my blue seat covers out because they were torn up. took out matts too for same. worked on Crown Royal shift boot and center console piece because its cracking.

I know, right? I thought my 4Runner was nice and tight up front - UNTIL I replaced the LBJs/OTREs. LOL

I highly recommend to everyone to replace the inner and outer TRE's. You will be very impressed with the end result.

x2, while adding that you might wanna always consider those lower ball joints. Ive seen a hand full of failures, which is an ugly deal.

Added Costco All-Weather mats and replaced my power steering bushings. The power steering bushings were an absolute pain.
