Got the Wade In-Channel window visor thingermabobbers in the mail today. Install took a solid 3 minutes, including peeling the tacky Wade logos off.

I like them! Look pretty good, I think. Match the tint really well.

Also got my CB Antenna in the mail, now just waiting on the CB to get here tomorrow. Cannot decide on whether I should get the ODL antenna mount, make one with JMT2404 (if the offer still stands) or wait for T4R4Life's GB thing to be over...

I vote ODL mount, I think it looks purty! Its what I would have if I didnt.. nvm, I dont like to think about what I did.

The ODL does look nice, and since I would only use the CB 2-3 times a year, the antenna will most likely not be attached most of the time.... So yeah, the mount does need to look good, haha.

Just got 4 Cooper Discoverer ATPs in size 265 75 16 installed, $608 out the door mounted and balanced from the local Discount Tire. Seemed like a pretty good deal, he gave me credit for 2 of my tires and then a military discount. SWEET.

Wow, so after a week without my vehicle, finally got it running again. Had the exact same problem as this user after buying a new battery: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/97851-video-starting-battery-problem.html

Needed to replace my starter contacts (seems to be somewhat common if you're miles are getting up there, I'm at 157k), but working full-time and the fact that I didn't have a garage to work in, meant I had about 20-30 min after work before the sun went down. Lesson is, if you're having a problem where you turn your key and it just "clicks" sometimes, it is not your battery (thought it might've been mine since it was unbranded and a bit small looking, didn't do enough research I guess). It's most likely the $10 contacts in the starter. Bought these pieces instead of buying a Toyota rebuild kit: eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

While i have my dash apart i decided to fix some wiring and remount my Ham Radio a little higher up. It was mounted on the vertical part of the firewall to the left of the steering column, but i always worried about kicking it. i now have it mounted to what i think would have been the clutch pedal mounting bracket had my truck been a standard. The radio fits in there nice and snug and is well protected behind the fuze panel. The face plate is in the sunglasses holder on the upper console, and i will route the mike lead through the center trim panel next to the ash tray.

I also ran the power and antenna through the grommet that runs to the door. I poked a small hole in the underside of it so the wires could exit with out letting water get into the cab.

Started the install of a tranny cooler. Found front skid plate bolts were rounded, so out came the sawzall. Knocked the radiator with the blade and did the backstroke in coolant.

Instead of just a new cooler, my day now consisted of a transmission fluid change, coolant flush, new radiator, new transmission cooler, and one NASTY garage. Tomorrow is clean-up day.

Yesterday, did the diff breather mod and changed the oil. Also found out my front left CV boot may need replacing FML. Today clean up the engine bay a second time (never going mudding again) then power washed the front skids (still off from oil change) and bought some new bolts since several were missing on the skids.

Also, was it just me or is the oil change on this thing a total PITA? The filter was damn near impossible to get to with out having to twist my hand in about 5 different ways.

Careful if you do! I've got to find a new plate now. But I had to get it off for the upgrades. Unfortunate.

I bought one! Picked up a really clean 99 SR5 Sport for 3500 with 341k miles! I will post up some pics once I get it all cleaned and waxed. It was a customer's vehicle (in an accident) and he mentioned wanted to sell it after repairs were completed. Being the curious type I asked him how much he was thinking, offered him 3200 plus I would pay for part of the bodywork he had done, so I ended up about 3500 to roll.

So far I've replaced one tire (nail in left rear sidewall), cleaned the original owner's stickers off the back window, and trying to decide if I should put my Ron Paul sticker at the top or bottom of the rear window.

Wheels, tires, center caps, and lug nuts for $400 bucks!!! Not a screaming deal cause I will have to replace the tires pretty soon, but I am pumped!

I started on my rear storage box, I made it so that it works with the cargo cover and takes up a quarter of the space. ( over the drivers wheel well.)

I began to disassemble the entire front end. Replacing the font diff with 4.88's and ARB locker. Tacoma OTRE and LBJ, Total Chaos UCA. Found that I need new flex brake lines, and front Axles. Got one side totally apart and 1 UCA installed. Tomorrow after church will be a long afternoon as I'm gonna try and have it running by tomorrow night. Pic will follow:surfer:

Gave the intake a thorough cleaning...blasted the MAF sensor and TB with their respective CRC cleaners, and topped it all off with a deck plate mod. The only rattle can on hand for the deck plate was actually a pretty good match for the Evergreen Pearl! Finished it with some black-oxide socket head screws which makes it look ace. Throttle response seems a bit better. I'm really hoping to see at least a mild gain in MPG...but hey at least it sounds ! :reddance:

Found a guy in Portland, OR that sells LEDs w/ a 1 yr warranty on Craig's List. For $45 I got front park lights, map lights, dome light, cargo light and license plate lights. Wanted to go LEDs all the way around the exterior but except for the parking lights, he didn't have any in stock.
