What did you do with your 4runner today?

Demello bumper

I finalized my Demello bumper order. Im told it only 2 weeks out. Im happy as hell right now. I cant wait to get it painted and installed. Then my woman will start *****ing about me spending money on the truck, but thats OK she damaged the stock bumper so I am using that as an excuse to upgrade ! I will just park it in the driveway after I get it and see if she notices right away. I never ask permission only forgiveness ! Now instead of working im at the office shopping online for the winch.

Just got mine last week...trust me she will notice, all the plastic crap gets gone really quick.

Looks good! Any glare issues coming off the glass? How much is blocked by the tinted glass?

Not too much of a pain. About an hour total install since I already had a switch wired to my accessory fuse block. There is a little bounce back inside off the glass, but that's the great thing about the 4runner with the roll down back window which is why I decided to mount them there. Check the link I posted to my build thread where I showed window up and window down.

Thanks man, I hated the chrome and just happened to have an extra can of plastidip laying around... I love the look of the 08 grille on my 05!

How I mounted these bad boys:
Remove a crap-load of plastic tabs that hold the black piece of plastic over the radiator support (seen resting on my engine)

Then I simply used the existing upper radiator mount bolts to hold the light bracket. I had to move the horn to the left to fit the light correctly.

Then the light bracket was sticking up too much for the radiator cover to fit back down, so I used a hacksaw blade barehanded to cut out notches in the cover

Run the wires under the black cover and replace it with the tabs (I broke like half of them)

As for the Hellas, it took me like 10 minutes start to finish.

I used a piece of angle iron from Home Depot, cut it to length, then drilled a hole into the forward support bar that goes from the radiator to the bumper. Then all I did was drill holes and mount the Hellas.

Hope that helped! I like to MacGyver my installs to make them super easy lol

That is bizarre... I'm not even truncating the link myself, T4R, is providing the link title. Maybe it's a tapatalk issue? Does the link in my signature do the same thing? I've never even read that article to be able to link to it!
