i think it looks better with the emblem chrome or plasti dip a different color
this is what i did to what i have now
That settles it, I think it looks better with the chrome toyota emblem. compliments the head lights nicely.

Have both here and I like the the Yeti for short trips and the fridge for long. However if your family is going its kinda nice to have both. Use the fridge as a freezer and the Yeti as a fridge.

So I just got my 4Runner this past Thursday. This is all I've done since I got it. It has 130k on it and it is an 06 SR5.
Opened up the headlights and painted all the chrome, Plasti dipped, wheels, front grill, lower middle section of bumper, rear hatch chrome handle thingy, clear dipped the tail lights for the matte look. Took off the carbon thing on the air box for more air flow (it was pretty dang dirty, De badged doors and hatch, also took off the running boards since I found out that's what all the cool kids do
It's only a 2wd and I won't be doing anything crazy in it but still going to lift it up 3" with some nice beefy tires to make it look cool and then some cool lights to mount on the front.
When I bought it Thursday.
And now...

Got it Thursday and did all that by now. Looks good. Hey, I think you forgot the door handles, figure I let you know before everyone harasses you about it. Opps I think I just did.

Temp finally broke 60F this week in Upper Midwest. Yesterday it was in the 70s, so gave "Sweetheart" a wash, wax and thorough cleaning inside. Also cleaned engine compartment and treated leather.

haha yea I need to get a can of flat black paint for those since the plasti-dip will come off easily.

Mines holding pretty good, just have to put a socket in the handle to the open position, spray some in a small cup and use a paint brush to get a few good coats on the hard to reach place.
That spot usually doesn't get much when sprayed and just starts to rub off and the rest follows.

My driver's seat has been rocking for a few years now. The Stealership wanted around $800 for a new seat frame, so i have just been putting up with it. After a few people had written up about the same issue and what they had done, i decided to give it a shot. I went to a buddy's house and took my driver's seat out. At first we couldn't find anything that looked broken. Once we took the seat rails off, we found the crack the other members have had.
He isn't the best welder, but he did a good enough job to fix the issue. It is a night and day difference in the feel of the seat. Thanks for the info guys....:first:

Finally got them installed and they look great. They are superb quality and I should have bought them a long time ago. Time to go beat them up.

not really, kinda dig this look for now. Once I can get my hands on more plasti-dip I'll take a shot at dipping my wheels.
