It makes that sound at a complete stop? anything grinding/rattling/crunching when the drive shafts arn't spinning is going to come from the transmission, engine, or belts.

Yep at a complete stop. And it only happens in drive and reverse. And as far as I can tell once I let off the brakes in drive it goes away. And the sound comes from the driver rear so I doubt it's anything engine related

It can be adjusted with the rotor on and wheel off. There should be a hole in the rotor that lines up with the adjustment area.

Just to add a little from Austin and I's conversation, it sounds to be coming from the general area if the fuel tank. One possibility that we thought of is it could possibly be the compressor from my RAS that I trashed trying to kick on

Finally finished fabricating my custom brackets and fairing for the Whitson rack. Machined the brackets out of flat aluminum stock and cut the fairing from 1/8" lexan.

That looks really clean. I have my old fairing brackets from one of those old large Yakima fairings. They look just like those, so i am glad to see they worked well. Take some more pics when you get a chance. Josh ( [MENTION=77764]Whitson Metalworks[/MENTION] ) check that out!
I just got my light bar in today and sent it on to Josh. I can't wait to get mine!!!

You might want to use some double stick tape and make a bracket for the front too. If the top bracket is not strong enough. Also how about getting some door edge moldings to put onto the front leading edge of that fairing to prevent scratches on your roof. Other than that looks good.
Back on topic.... picked up my bfg at KO's from nyc, left philly at 1245pm, got to lower Manhatten and got back to same spot at 345pm in philly.

Guess I should have mentioned but I have edge clip weatherstripping on its way which will sit on the bottom edge with a thin strip of 3M clear film for the roof paint. Weatherstripping will rest on the film. Still need to smooth the edges and paint the back side black. The brackets are pretty darn stout and actually leverage the fairing against the roof.
Nice deal on the tires too!

Hokie that fairing looks KALEEEEN! Looks like you got a perfect fit on it. Did it take a lot of trial and error to match the windshield's curve like that?

nice, if you have access to a grinder of file. try to file down the edge so that it will not be so sharp right on the body. your car will thank you in the long run! escpecially when the wind gets on it and makes it wiggle around.

Thanks! It took a good bit of time going back and forth using posterboard as a template. I wanted a good template that i could post up for other folks to use so ill get it scanned so anyone can copy it.
haha no joke. Waiting on my last wire order.
It'll def get smoothed out but no part of the fairing will actually touch the roof. Hard to explain but I'll post do a fairing thread once I'm done with it.
