So today I finally did something I've been wanting to do for a long time. The grey cladding on the 03 sport/sr5 is kind of a love or hate thing and I like it. But I don't love it. So I plasti dipped it to see what it would look like black instead of grey. I absolutely love the look of it now. Fits me better. Maybe not some people

I saw one about a month ago when I came out of the bank, hurried to my truck to get going and the camera on.....they just vanished :spy: I drove around but never found them....thought of you when I saw them.

i once bought a 1998 olive green ultra rare high pressure turbo manual transmission volvo v70 station wagon with a blown head gasket, really owned by a old lady. spent a bunch of time cleaing it up, doing head gasket and dumping $3000 into over hauling the car, only to sell it at break even because after 3 months of driving it, i cant get myself to like green, any color but green. :evil:

It does look really good! I have been debating on this for a while. Might have to pull the trigger now.

I would recommend pulling that trigger. The worst that can happen is you spend a little time pulling off the plasti dip if you don't like it. But I love the new look of it and can't stop staring at it since I did it. That could be due to me having no life though

Well it's funny because your pictures gave me the idea. I saved those exact pictures weeks ago and looked at them every day trying to decide if I wanted to do it or not. Thanks for the inspiration man

it's my dream 4Runner. Might have to get a black V8 03-05 and swap cladding and paint it that stock forest green!

One popped up on my local Craigs the other day. I know how rare they are but didn't know if anybody was interested in it. Every green one I've ever seen was a V8, weird.
Anyway, I found 3 in the country but all SR5's and all V8's. 2 in momo's neck of the woods. One for under $7K. Enjoy

the body style isnt fit for lowering. barely fit for lifting/rugged look.

Fine, then I'll lift it 3", and since I can clear 33" tires, I will throw some 26's on it. Maybe some 28's!
