got around to starting the elocker install. got the harness and switch from 12volt guy. i need a silver sharpie to hide the one little bit of over run i made with my dremel. and yes the panel is straight. had to make the housing alterations with the same said dremel cause the air powered cutoff wheel i was gonna use couldnt be found. now im just waiting to get my third members back from having the R&P swapped over.

swaped out all the idle pulleys along with an inch shorter belt, and threw in my new mechman 240 amps alternator. 147 amps at 800rpm and 246 amps at 1800rpm. so far so good, still at stable 14.1 volts on my scanguage. oriley ultima alternator on the left, you can see it is a decent quality, the mechman on the right is better build, gold rectifiers on the inside. one thing i had to do is to enlarge the stock ring terminal to 5/16 to fit on the alternator charge lead. my truck do have a complete 1 gauge big three.

Ordered 5x 255/75/17 Duratracs and Camburg UCAs. I was going to wait until the ebay UCAs popped back up, but I've got the extra funds so I figured I'd go name brand. I ALMOST bought the MTs that tire rack has on sale, but with an expected super wet winter coming in So Cal, I think the Duratracs will fit the bill nicely for wet/snow traction and off road fun.
I cannot wait to get these last two things so I can throw on the springs/shocks and sway bar end links that have been sitting in my garage for the last 2 months (sans links, only had them for a week). Hopefully next weekend. The suspense is killing me.

Picked up a brand new set of Duratracs from a guy on Craigslist. Paid $500 for the set of 4 tires and they had never been mounted. Traveling a little this week so I'll have them mounted and balanced next weekend.

Got around to trimming my front bumper a bit and pushing my fender liners forward. Finally got rid of the crazy rub I would get when backing and turning (parking lots were always fun).
My drain holes at the bottom of the fender liners were clogged, so a ton of dirt fell all over my garage. But the mod went well otherwise, so no complaints :dancin:

This is what I did today with my 4Runner. I gotta be honest, I'm not ready to do any serious offroading in my 4R because I don't want to worry about damaging it and it's my DD. I picked this 01 up for $300 with a hole in the block. Some rust in driver floor but frame looks solid. My sons built two of these already and for very little money I can get this thing running and make it pretty trailable. One day when my runner is less nice looking and I have a newer one it can take over this offroad stuff. I have FJ coils and will put 5100s on it and take it camping and modest offroad stuff. This new ride is no beauty, has some rust so I won't have to worry about trail carnage. First time this old modded boat trailer has been on the road in 30 years, probably more.
