What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finished my fogs but my dad won't let me bake them to put them bak together. Sh*t.

Still look badass tho!

They look good. I would wait to do the turn signals when you have time to do them and get them installed all in one day. You wouldn't want to drive around without them.

Thanks momo. Can't wait to get all my front lights done

Got the go ahead to put them back together tomorrow! Woo.

And I'm gonna do the turn signals and lights at my moms house cause she's not toolish like my dad is at some times.... I still love him though...

Just bought a CV Axle from summit racing and got two oil filters for $2.50!!! For both!!!!!
Gonna get another CV from Oreilly this weekend and replace then take my originals to an axle shop downtown to have them rebuilt. Figured the part shop ones will hold me over for a little while.

Extended Rear Sway Bar End Links installed

Been wanting to get to this for a while now; waited and waited for some adjustable end links from Red Eye Fab but after initially looking like it was going to happen... emails began to disappear into the void so I found some for the FJ at Summit Racing (Part # SJA-SBE702) thanks to JD914. (Cost ~ $63.00)

They appear pretty well made although the sleeve that goes inside the lower poly bushing is rolled steel with an open seam running the length of it so I worry that it could deform inside the bushing when stressed and then fail. I'll keep an eye on that.

There was also a washer missing that I felt should be part of the kit. This is the washer that I positioned between the lock nut and the sway bar. That part is going to move a fair bit so there should be a washer there or else the sway bar is just grinding away on the nut.

Summit Racing has a poly bushing lube that is clear and really viscous that is used to keep things quiet. Its pretty cool stuff but it doesn't want to come off so careful.

I did not need to do any drilling; the 1/2" lower stud fit perfectly into the existing hole in the sway bar.

I relocated the brake lines outboard by bending the existing brackets; this worked fine and no clearance issues.

You do need to pick up those two 1/2 inch washers.

Need to have a 6mm allen key to prevent the OEM stud from turning as you remove the bolt that secures it.

The old and the new:

The missing washer is the last one on the right:

Use a 6mm allen key and 17mm box ratchet to remove lower nut:

Brake line repositioned outboard by carefully bending existing bracket:

Potential wear issue due to lower poly washer being a bit too big:

Nice! Good writeup of sorts as well

Cleaned off all the brake dust, rubber, bugs, and grime that has built up on my truck over the past month and a half. I must say the 4Runner cleans up nicely.

Just recieved my Rigid LED Lights, still debating if I should keep my Bajarack light rack with Rugged Ridge HID lights, or keep both???
