Waiting to see the rain totals but they were forecasting 5-8" of rain last week. That would have been at least 6' of snow! 2-3" of rain to come today! Reno was in a state of emergency for the flooding Truckee river.

I was around Tahoe last night and drove home. It was flooded just about everywhere. It's been an ungodly amount of rain.

Put the rack to use stealing some lumber from my brother. He got a few nice sized oaks cut up. It's nice wood, but heavy!

I'm camping next weekend and will probably be sleeping in the back of the runner, so I wired in a switch so I can get out from the inside.

Loos awesome! Where did you get that skid from and what brand is it? Looks great! Im looking into maybe getting a little added protection soon. Advise? Thanks! -Joe

Hey Joe,

That's a BudBuilt skid. I got a set in 1/4" aluminum to reduce corrosion and to save weight. Used up a quart of 2 part marine paint that I had; "Snow White" bullet proof finish but it almost glows under there.

Drove about 40 min to Jockey Hollow in Morristown NJ for a 6 mile hike.

Sadly the forest is littered with huge downed trees with upwards of 15 ft tall roots ripped out of the ground on 80-100 ft trees. Hundreds of them. Looks like logging country but it's not. Changes the landscape and beauty of the forest quite a bit.

Went slightly off the beaten path for the last time in my original H/T tires and then bought my first set of tires since purchasing the vehicle and went with some 265/70/17 BF Goodrich A/T and then tested her out this weekend hunting. It was a successful weekend.
