.85 setting on the fronts. Took it in for an alignment since I have 3 years worth of them free and it was still perfect. Raised the back 1/2" and the front almost exactly 2" after letting it settle. It is a tad firmer than the XREAS was, but feels like new again.

What do I do with my Chrysler Town & Country rental? Picked up my new-to-me transmission of course!
It's an 08 transmission with 123k on it. Got it for $535 with tax after core charge is returned. Toyota is installing it for $400 (unheard of) because they are removing my nearly dead transmission to fix the rear main seal on the engine anyway. Woo!!!!

Go and trade yours in, looks like you have a rotten lemon. Just quit modding for a bit, and you will probably be better off. Keep an eye for 06+, model that you want, and every penny you get from your cluster swap, put in a newer 4runner.

Not a lemon. New Jersey muck f*cked my truck up. I got stuck in hood-deep water and killed the trans and starter. Other than that, she's a champ. It's all operator error.
We had a competition for the dirtiest truck... I won.

I yanked the battery and put it on that metal piece towards the driver's front fender.
105,263m: I changed the oil & filter. I also grabbed a sample to send to the lab for evaluation. What a hot mess that turned out to be: they don't want the oil from the end, or the beginning. So I got oil all over the damn place trying to take the sample mid-stream.
I've been using synthetic for the last 70K miles and changing the oil & filter every 5K miles. So I'm doubt the lab will tell me anything major. It's for my own information/amusement more than anything.

You allowed to lower your runner, or get better tires? Or would that just put you in another class?

my truck is stock ride height. If i got like a 40, 45 (20in rim) profile tire then it would put me in a different class, but would perform better.

gearing is not a problem for me. I can hit 140mph+ in 4th.

Holy..... Sh*tttt!!!!!!
You have a 5-speed, right? I love the pulls I get in 4th gear with our trucks. I have had to drive in 4th under 50mph for the last month or so because I flooded my transmission. Even with clutch pack issues, I can get up to speed merging on the highway instantly.
How much money do you have in your truck?
Have you considered the new URD supercharger kit to solve your acceleration issues?
