What did you do with your 4runner today?

Picked up a set of pristine FJ rims off craigslist that have been sitting in a garage for 5 years. Two tires were done but the other two were Wranglers with no discernible wear ~ $300 for the lot!

Yeah, NJ is crazy with the laws. No amount of tint is allowed on the front windows. Cops don't seem to enforce it though unless they're being "nice" and not giving you the speeding ticket... My only concern is inspection in October but I think I should be alright.

They aren't too bad here...the county anyway. I've been driving around my area for over 2 years without getting pulled over (crossing my fingers). I've got limo tint all the way around (previous owner). Its over the factory tint in the back too so even darker I imagine.
The State troopers are another story however. If I can, I always roll down my fronts whenever I see them.

On another note, still working on my retrofit. I'm thinking of trying something new and putting the amber reflector directly on the headlight housing and leaving the large, clear piece off. Still deciding and yet to order my kit...:ybrick:

I wouldn't trust a tire that had been sitting for 5 years. I'd just replace them all & say I got new rims for $300.

Took myself and three other people to.....

the Planes of Fame museum in Chino, CA from downtown L A. High of 86 deg
today. Gorgeous - not a cloud in the sky. Amazing museum of WW2 and Korean War vintage warbirds, meticulously rebuilt and restored. Went down to Dana Point, north of San Diego, yesterday. So beautiful I never want to
leave. 4Runner never missed a beat. Love that truck!

Took a nice drive up I25 to Fort Collins. Got over 22 MPG, actually hit 23.1 for a minute.

Picked up this nice set of skid plates from josh at RCI

Going to be prepping and painting them today and install tomorrow hopefully.

found a set of Goodyear Wrangler A/T's 255/75/17, on craigslist, traded for old "newer" H/T's. cost $0.00. Had them mounted and balanced at local Toyota dealership, one of my best friends works there. cost $0.00 (couple of beers). Blacked out my headlights to finish off the day, i had an old can of krylon in the garage. cost $0.00. which brings me to a grand total of... 3 beers.





sorry about the shitty phone pictures, i spend all my money on this thing and haven't bought a nice camera. Also the plasti dip was messed up so i peeled it off, not liking the current look and will fix it sunday.

That is just my style!! Those are the best upgrades.
