forget the leds, be like me and put in hids, the ones on ebay says 15w, and it lights up fine.

Ever since i removed my lighted running boards and replaced them with the step tubes, I (as well as my wife and kids) have missed having lights on the steps. I was glad to find these Eagle Eye LED lights on ebay, for around $4 a pair shipped. These are 3w lights, which doesn't sound like much but they put out plenty of light. I originally wanted to mount one in the rocker strip, under the doors. I would have liked to have one above each step pad but that panel is right up against the metal of the body. I decided to make some small brackets and mount them to the insides of the step tube mounts. They are far enough up under the body, where you can't see them and just at the right height to cast light on the step pads. I had clipped the wires from my running boards, so all i had to do was tie them into those. They come on when i unlock and open the doors. I am very happy with these as well.

Now i can't wait to work on my other projects.....if it weren't for this stupid work stuff i could do them.
I will be adding some more reverse lighting. I will be mounting my 30" Hanma LED Light bar. I have one more little project that i am working on but don't want to give it away just yet, but yes it involves LED lights....lol

I'm gonna get those and tie them into my dome lights so they come on when I unlock and open my doors. That'll be sweeeet

Dude that's awesome! I added 3 extra motors to my nephews powerwheels so he could have a little 4x4! He loves it! Climbed up a foam arm rest (from my Dad's wife's arm surgery) and hung a tire hahaha.
I'm using these for rock lights! Little 2" cubes (monopod XTs from TrekLights)
I think 900 lumens.

This one, the pice that fell off was the one that hooks in the catch at the rear door. The (tiny) screws apparently just fell out. I was only able to find one so far.

I had at least a gallon of water in the doors of my old HD once. It took me a few days to figure out where the sloshing sound was coming from, pulled out the plug on the door and it poured out like a waterfall.

Then went to clean my K&N filter and noticed dried muddy water spots in the intake. I'm really glad I didn't hydrolock my engine.
Started scrubbing my engine bay too. Here are the before pics
(Yes, that is a pile of sand at the bottom of my intake cowling...)

I cleaned the back cargo area. Got all the salt out that blew in while I was smoking in the car over the winter
That's just from that one side window.
Then I started working on my stealth backup lights.
Drilled into that useless coat hanger thingy
This way I don't have to drill into my headliner or anything. If this doesn't work, then I'll do the headliner. But I hope this works!
