What did you do with your 4runner today?

For my first post, I finally got to finish installing my Scion t1819 radio along with the Taco USB and AUX adapter today.

Honestly, I just bought the truck and it came with the lift and tires already on it. From what I can tell by looking at it, it has Bilstein 5100's all the way around. XREAS appears to be totally removed. Toytec 1" spacers in the front. I dont know the specifics of the coils though. The front are red and I haven't looked hard enough to find a name or part number on them. The rears, I'm guessing, are FJ springs. Possibly aftermarket UCA's in the front, but haven't researched those. Looks to be about a 3" lift and there is some trimming done on the inside of the front bumper for clearance. Tires are 285-70-17 Mud Terrains.

Those are nice for the price, am looking at the total chaos, might pull the trigger too since am on the market for complete set of skids.

ordered some HIDs. Usually not a big fan because lack of projectors. But 5000k and 3000k HIDs are in route. :frog:

i will aim them down once installed.

Just ordered Moog inner and outer tie rods for both sides from rock auto

Grand total: $82.14 with 2 day shipping.

Toyota wanted: $650

Loooooool this is easy to do anyway

Spent about 4-5 hours washing all the mud off my truck, washed the floor mats, and vaccuummed the carpet. That mud gets EVERYWHERE

I actually grew up in Butler County (went to Mars High School). Live in Bethel Park now, but still make it up to Cooks Forest (in Allegheny National Forest) once a year to camp. I've looked around, but can't seem to find anything that my old Honda Accord couldn't go up... Lol. Just meaning I don't know where the trails are! I'd love to know though!

My father in law in a member of a "Mountain Man" club up in Emlenton. They own a couple hundred acres. I try to ride there a bit, but not really any trails. A couple thin quad trails is about it.

There's a few spots to wheel not far from us at all. The dumps and surrounding areas in the corner of SP and finleyville. I haven't been there since high school and that was on a quad but there are plenty of people that do it in vehicles. Be warned though it can be a rough crowd out there. Had a buddy with a wrangler a few years ago out in finleyville that got it stuck at dusk, went back the following morning with his buddy's truck and winch to find the jeep completely torched. I haven't seen anyone that mad in a long time. It was nuts.

I'll ask around to find out good entrance points for vehicles. I know one spot I believe gets you there but you have to drive across a 6-24" deep creek depending on recent rain. I'd like to get out and mess around once the weather gets nice.

Very cool, I love camping in Cooks Forest, we used to go every year. Always loved taking my old 4Runner camping up there.

Well that's enough to scare me away from going there..! Lol wtf? That's crazy!

I wouldn't want to fathom the amount of anger I would feel if that was my ride...! But no one was even around to take it out on... That would suck..
 
today i took the snowboard rack off my roof... sadly i don't see me using it until next season, so back on the garage shelf it goes!
