What did you do with your 4runner today?

Plasti-Dipped mine...the WHOLE THING!

It used to be a very faded white (it's an '04)...now it's Camo Tan.

Wheels are powdercoated bronze (but they turned out pretty dark -almost look like OD Green in some light). The centercaps are plasti-dipped black. I'm gonna order some black lugs shortly.

I love my steering wheel cover. It was only $6 shipped on Ebay. I'll look up the seller if you're interested. It's one of the leather ones that is sewn on...it looks OEM as the color is almost an exact match for my SE interior. Plus, its not too fat/thick like some i've seen and conforms to the finger indentions on the steering wheel.

After seeing how nice the fit and quality is on my cover, I think that would be way too much. That one looks like it just slides over the wheel. The main reason I like mine is how its stitched on for a tight fit. Of course, its only a steering wheel cover so you can't really go wrong either way.

We newbies need more info! Tire brand? "model" description? ATs? MTs? Load rating? Ply thickness? Price? Noise penalty over previous tires, if any? Enquiring (ignorant) minds want to know....... :crutch:

I paid 287 a tire shipped, delivered, mounted, and balanced.

I paid 287 a tire shipped, delivered, mounted, and balanced.

That's a set of tires per year at the rate I've been piling the miles on

The company that does the lettering for my company trucks quoted me 1600 on tuesday to wrap my runner ORANGE. Dude our ideas of what a truck should look like are so similar its getting weird. I'm going to wait until my paints totally screwed though.

It finally stopped raining, so I crawled underneath to get a better look at my CV boots.

Driver side inner:

The boots appear to be fine, but the clamps are gone, as I suspected. Tomorrow I will make a more thorough inspection to see how the CV joints look. I'm hoping they're okay and that I can just clean, regrease, and reclamp. I'd prefer not to replace the shafts right now if it can be avoided. Mostly because I'm cheap, and my tax return money is supposed to go towards the VR6 this year. Ha ha.

I haven't done it on the 4Runner yet because I'm debating doing a Satoshi, but I have an '03. :doh:

That, and I still have to fix my CV boots and the driver's seat to pass MD inspection.
