Can I ask why you only went to a 265/70?

@ Chris, I needed spacers to clear the uca's for 1 and didn't want the tires to stick out past the body, and didn't feel like doing a body chop and want to keep my mud flaps on. Also, I can put that size tire in the spare location for now. No roof rack.

It might be awhile before I might decide to make a custom rear bumper later to carry larger tire when I iron out all my details on what I want my rig to have on it. Don't want to have to re-gear now to accomadate a v-6.
I'm just getting into my peak working season and to tired to do all of them things for awhile.

I have gotten it built now to where I can get into pretty much where I need too and then some.

Went to retrieve my tires and rims being mounted by the shop and installed.

Cooper stt 265/70/17 tek3, put them on my past 04 rims I had and got board during the winter and painted and clear coated them.

In the middle of this operation, the post man come by and gives me this envelope, :thanks: MOMO. Of course the mailman has to comment on the tires and rig, yah, seen them monsters in my way on the porch the other day. Looks good. Of course have to reply THANKS.

I ordered on the 15th and it was delivered on the 26th so 11 days and it even came from Cali and I'm in Virginia so 4or5 days was shipping. Very please will Demello so far

Began the early stages of my cargo drawer build. I had a spare piece of plywood in the garage so I took the carpet liner out of the back and traced it onto the board. I used a skil saw to cut it out, along with holes for the factory tie downs. Now I just have to figure out how I want to build the drawers. Definitely inspired by Dusty's build

Looks like a good start. I didn't realize you had tie down hooks where the double decker shelf usually latches (in the "up" position). That is another possible place for a support strap to keep the box in place.

I think in order to secure the box to the board, I'm going to use the four factory tie down points, attaching turnbuckles to them and to the box itself. That way, it would be pretty easy to take in and out when I need to

I think there is something wrong, plasti dip is getting addictive. Redid the plastidip after just one day. I think I'm done now.

VSC mod switched off the SCU eliminating the need to go through the firewall or remove any panels.

Twice.

Accidentally both times.

Broke my sun roof cover and a bunch of stuff in the cargo area. Also ruined my alignment.... My neck and head are killing me.

Other than that, had a blast with a bunch of FJs, tacos and runners in Connecticut today. 29 trucks turned out!
