What did you do with your 4runner today?

Yes! More mods to come. I had to drive 100 miles to work on it, so I wanted it now.

Yep! Just wanted to paint it to keep the rust off

Got a free e-locker out if a FJ. I need to figure out what gear ratio it is and replace the bearing that's pointed to. Worth it for free.

Auto FJs have 3.73's like us V6 folk. V8's have 3.93's like the manual FJs.

Side note: I WANT!!! I can only find em for $650+. You get one for free!? Wtffffffff

Yup it's got 3.73's. I got it from a friend who's a tech. It has a bad bearing so they replaced it under warranty.

These are my street tires on some crappy 5spoke wheels. 265/65/17 Bridgestone duelers, my secondary set to preserve my KM2's and to increase mpg.

My truck looks hideous like this, but 20 mpg. 'Nuff said

It's funny, when I step on the gas, my truck actually moves instead of making noise and sucking my tank dry!

You got a great deal. Excellent condition wheels, center caps, hubs (including locking hubs). Your right, the guy had a sweet FJ. Too bad I showed up in my rental car (2013 Ford Escape). I would have loved to show him my 4Runner.

what are peoples thoughts on dipping the center of the dash as well?

AbsoluteYota has painted his. But he didn't dip it. Taking out the silver trim piece is fairly easy. unbolt the trim under the steering wheel, pull out the HVAC controls, take out the trim around the center console, and then just unsnap the trim on the dash

It was very steep, and it had loose rocks. And the loose rocks almost broke my ankle. Haha

Anyone know if the 1GR-FE can handle E85? That fuel is so much cheaper, but I know most vehicles must be "flex fuel" to run it.

I figure gas burns one way.. Not like a heat and compression combustion like a Diesel engine. I know from first hand experience the 7.3L powerstroke doesn't like getting a tank full of gas instead of diesel..... That was a pain.

Just curious. I'm not gonna go fill up with E85 until I get a concrete yes with data to back it up.

Just to clarify, my uncle put the gas into his F-350, I had to drop his 40 gallon tank haha

Well since I bought it yesterday I had to do emissions and get insurance cards. I also did the HCF delete, and put my seat covers on. Next week I'll have the muffler I just ordered installed.

Getting my parking brake adjusted and tires rotated at the dealer, they have an awesome black 2013 TE in the showroom with TRD wheels and custom seat covers.
