Thanks guys. I'll probably ask the painter how much he would want for the cladding since he only charged me $50 for the bumper!

That would look really good. The bad part with the cladding is the process that they have to use to make the paint stick properly to the cladding. Maybe since you work for the dealership, the paint guys would let you come help with the prep of the cladding to cut some cost.

Or you could just PD it.

Yeah it'll have to be something to look at and weigh options. There sure isn't nearly as much cladding left now as compared with day 1. Haha

10 year old plastic didn't fade?

I don't know what the cladding looked like new, but most of the 03's I see up here are faded like crazy

Mine are only faded on the very very top edge and they're not even bad there.

Ah, I didn't know how long the plastics would hold up.

There used to be a forest green 03 near me... God that thing was gorgeous. Imagine one of those with black painted cladding!? Mmmmmmmm (I'm a sucker for black and green)

my 4runner moldings are somewhat faded, just the very tops and then the hood, fenders and roof especially the A pillars are all different shades.

I actually kinda like that! It seems kinda funny at first but you'll get used to it quickly

Only problem with this mount is that on the freeway it vibrates the roof. I m trying to rig s more solid mounting to eliminate it .

My 03 cladding wasn't faded at all when I traded it in last year, you just gotta take care of it. Not parking in the sun all the time helps too
