I've been wanting to go back to 5100s for some time, [MENTION=44866]ARK_SWAMP_RIDER[/MENTION] can confirm that I was talking about how I'd been wanting to do it for a while, and that was back in March.

Adam needed a better suspension and we were able to work out a deal where he got a very nice suspension to go with his bumper instead of piecing together a cheaper one. And rather than searching for FJ springs and top hats, I just swapped his stuff over.

That was a very elaborate forum aprils fools joke. I read the thread thinking to myself no way this is real.

That looks great. I've been thinking about doing mine and keeping the chrome and you just swayed me further in that direction. I'm really liking the 5th gen badge too. Great job.

Thanks guys. It makes me happy to hear that, I've put like 12 hours into this stupid thing and I'm really happy with how it's coming out. I tried to fit the mesh tonight, but i'd had a few beers at dinner it was too big.. by a long shot. So tomorrow i'm gonna shorten it, better too big than too small. It should be done and installed on friday.

As for the chrome, [MENTION=63543]CrimsonCountry[/MENTION] , I'm actually color matching it titanium silver to my truck.

Also, for those of you that don't know, it's an 06+ grille retro's for an 03. So the putty in the corners was used to fill the gaps i made when cutting it down.

You drive 3 miles a day? Firstly, why are you worried about mileage, and why not ride a bike?

I wonder if the mileage has anything to do with the engine not being warmed up, any experts here have an idea?

Driving 3 miles isn't helping. The car really isn't getting up to temp and achieving efficiency. Short trips like that will yield the worst milage.

Short trips definately yield lower MPG, I would definately ride a bike or jog to work. I have done both on multiple occasions and I live 11 miles from where I work.

I mean heck once you factor in traffic and what not I wouldnt be surprised if it were faster to cycle.
