What did you do with your 4runner today?

know this isnt the right thread 4 this...but really need to fix this asap....this thread gets loads of traffic.

have had this microbypass lying around for sometime now, i hv the pioneer avh 4400bt hu, it was installed professionally...apparently the installer didnt install the bypass that lets one play videos without going through the the whole hand brake thing.........the microbypass just has 3 cables...am looking for a direct step by step guide on how to go about hooking it up...do i need to take the dash apart?

I got one of those myself. You need to pull the radio out (not very hard, plenty of threads about that) and then all you have to do is connect the bypass wires to the wires of the same color on the HU harness. Took me 15 minutes from start to finish. The bypass should come with instructions of how to hook up the wires

Hit 150k miles on the truck. And took a road trip to Raleigh this past weekend, all after I got it washed.

Installed my new ash tray console insert and my fog light switches. Also removed my rear badges. Painted the Toyota emblem and went to put it back on and the adhesive took the paint right off it. So I had to paint it again and now I have to find something less caustic to glue it back on with. :dammit:

Changed all my differentials and transfer case fluids with Mobil 1. Front and rear diffs were black. Glad I changed them. Previous Owner sucked.

installed a new head unit today, you can customize the color by using rgb values for both day and night mode. it works and looks really well.
i have an 04 sr5 and the install kit that is designed for it doesn't look good so i got the kit for the limited and ended up cutting out the dash to fit. it took a while but the fit is perfect.

also just wired us some subs and learned through research and trial and error that you can use a 4 channel amp with 2 DVC subs by using one channel per coil as long as the signal for both coils is exactly the same.

got some plastic polish and took a rag to the headlights. after about 15-20 minutes of heavy rubbing they look like this. after a couple weeks they retained their shine but started to yellow back a little. another application should do the trick this time.

I know what ya mean. Previous owner only gave me the Valet key and had no other keys. Also did a good amount of bump and taps to the rear bumper

Driving on the road at 40mph, wanted to show my friend how easy 4wd is in the 4th gen, turned the dial to 4wd and heard some CRAZY crunching and clanging....

Turned out to be my messed up stock skid plates. Ripped em off and all is good. Gonna do my diff fluids soon because this scared the crap outta me

Going to the OBX

Camping with the family at Frisco Woods campground Frisco NC. Plan on a 4 wheeling in sand trip this saturday and a ride to Ocracoke NC on Sunday. 2 ferry rides for the 4wd. I will plan on posting a few picks of our ride on saturday. OBX baby!!
