Before picking up the 4th gen I recently bought new Duratracs for the 3rd gen. Since the 3rd has 16" wheels and the 4th has 17's I can't just swap tires. Today I swapped wheels/tires and plan to try this out for a couple days. The 16's look a little small so plasti dipping in the future might be required. '

Accidents happen and nobody was hurt good thing too. Sucks about the T4R but you can fix it and that "stupid jeep" is an LJ and kinda very sought after so....I don't think your SUV is near totaled either. The damage to the door is superficial it looks like and the section that was cracked can most likely be easily replaced with over night parts from Japan.....
Got my 4lo working.
Just picked up the gen4 t4r recently and I don't think it had ever been in 4wd.
It would go in 4hi just fine but I would just get the blinking 4lo light when I tried to put it in 4lo. I kept cycling from 4hi to 4lo in an attempt to get it to actuate.
Then the blinking 4lo light stuck on and it wouldn't go back into 4hi! I freaked out for a minute and pulled out my phone to see if I could find more information, glanced back at the dash and had a solid 4lo light! Put it in gear and sure enough, 4lo is working now. I cycled it a couple of more times to make sure, it pops into 4lo right away.
Also did the HCF delete.

The 4th gens look great with small wheels and beefy tires (don't forget the sr5 came with 16" wheels) and they also look good with 18" wheels and shorter yet beefy tires

I know that's right. My father in law was with me when I finally got it on. He said you are a brave soul. I told him I have had the name picked out for years and years before any "HUGE" self defense case in a stand your ground stand happened. I'm just to the point where I can start advertising. It's just a stud service. I didn't want to deal with the puppy side right now. Maybe later.

Painted the headlights black today along with some other maintenance. It was getting late when I finished so I don't have any good pics.
Gotta say, the '03-'05 lights look better blacked out than the '06-'09. (Even though mines an '06..)

Not today but yesterday. New EBC brake pads front and rear, machined OEM rotors, new spark plugs, air filter, PCV valve, cabin filter, changed oil & filter, rotated tires, new Gatorback fan belt. Still to do: upper idler pulleys, change oil in trans, x-fer case, and diffs. Will have to get at that stuff later, just ran out of time. I will hit 110k miles today, FWIW.

talked to javier (head guy at gulf coast crawl shop where my 4runner is getting repaired) and he said that he's going to go ahead and get me a new water pump & a new steering pump to fix all the power steering issues i've been having lately.
