not enough horns, need one more pair like me, its even louder and scares people,love to make them jump to pay attention.

Did you have them wired different? having that many horns and stock wiring would be a bit much

I hear ya. I had to replace my OEM horns on my little civic (Hella Trumpets). That car sounds like a big car now. Have any sound bytes or video of your horns??

Thanks!..I really like how it turned out., You can see a little of them behind the grille which I think it's pretty cool.., ill see if I can post a little sound clip

You didn't need the relay that comes with it? I know I had to use it on my acura

^^^the kit came with the relay..I didn't have to use it, the stock horns I believe connects to (+) wire, I use that positive wire and just tap a wire for negative to the horns...

Gusseted spindles, they're basically a metal plate welded on to reinforce the thin factory spindle.

i did use 2 relay harness, its getting the trigger from stock wire, although my set up is not as loud as train horns, its still pretty loud, i think i hit my horn [MENTION=81989]blk-4runner[/MENTION] 1 time.

Gaterose and Hokie are right, gusseted spindles.
Need to finish gusseting, and get a better rear setup, but in the future hopefully I will.
They probably won't go on until I get my LT ordered. They are actually Tacoma 2wd spindles, the Tacoma guys put them up for sale all the time to get lift spindles. As it is a DD, I didn't want to make the 4Runner undrivable for a few days. Bought the gussets elsewhere. They were actually welded and powder coated by Jerry at BAMF, so they will be solid. I didn't want to have to go through the process of removing the old paint, cleaning, painting, etc. I'm a lazyass.
Since you are over in Sac, I could lend you my old spindles to get gusseted, if you gave me your old ones, but seeing as how I'm not sure when mine will be swapped. I'm not sure how that plan will go.

Nothing too crazy, can't quite afford crazy. Just a budget LT for now with TC 2" LT, with Fox RR's, and Superbumps all around. Maybe if I ever find a good deal on bypasses later on, I'll grab those. Also can't really decide if I want to run glass on a DD, so that's another few negative points in the crazy factor.

If you are considering gusseting your spindles, the TC ones bolted on and we welded them on without uninstalling everything. Its worth a shot :shrug:[/QUOTE]
Thanks Redswan, Having a set made up sitting there is no problem to me.
Just a few bolts to break loose and throw back on. Have enough tools as I wrench on a big rig I own and repair myself. Air is the secret.

Got hit on the way home from work.. Amazingly no body damage what so ever. Just effed my wheel and maybe just alignment... Hope the axle and frame are ok, but who knows. I just hope no hidden damage that pops up later... But I got hit pretty hard despite how good the 4runner still looks...
Was enough to knock things around in the car, spill my water on the floor and jar open compartment in the back passenger side.
Drove it home about 10 miles or so with the VSC/etc lights on and not tracking straight... I know would have been better to get a tow - but it's been a long day and I'm traveling for work tomorrow. And frankly there were two shady a** tow trucks/dudes that were there making me VERY uncomfortable and I wanted out of there. I mean these dudes were fighting like the Repo dudes you see on tv. And were saying that my mechanic needed to be there to pay for it in order to drop it off and insurance would reimburse him... They said they could keep it over night (bla bla) so I just got the f*** outta there!
I was turning left onto a road, and the guy that hit me was turning left (from) the road I was turning onto. He hit me with his front left bumper. It's almost like he didn't see my turn signal and was gunning it to try to turn before the cars came from the other direction.
Anyway - it sucks and now is in the hands of my trusted mechanic, and the insurance companies and the police report.
