What did you do with your 4runner today?

@ the 1:04 min mark, did you almost miss your turn? or did you decide to take the "LONGER" way around

It had been a few months since i had been up there and its not marked until the turn. Nice small private lake thats only accessible by logging roads and if you know where its at. Was too busy haulin ass then realized oh shit theres my turn.

Got it dirty and tested out RCI skids going to China Wall.

I did not attempt the wall because I still have the factory bumper and 30" tires. That will be changing.

The video is a mixture of Goose Creek and the run to China Wall. Even without doing the wall there is plenty of other technical opportunities.

That was pretty awesome!!!! Goose Creek campground is one of the best in the state, a hidden gem surrounded by the burn scar.

Ran Caribou Creek with a friend, one of the few trails open after the flooding in Colorado.

That moment when a Toyota salesman asks what type of rims you have and you tell them they are plasti dipped OEM rims.

This might be coming home tomorrow

It took me 3 hours today to get my Daystar spacers in on top of my MetalTech LT rear coils... The driver's side rear was ridiculous! I had to finally take off my gas tank skid to get it in!

I still have to crank up the front about 3/4" to maintain a little bit of rake along with better ground clearance for a couple of upcoming runs. Anyone have any suggestions of how to crank the Icon Remote Resi's??

When doing the rear, i find it best to disconnect everything except the control arms and droop the axle to full droop, the jack up the opposite side that youre working on (jack up driver to do pass spring) and then you get a ton of clearance.

No idea how to crank up your icons, dont you just use a spanner like the other coilovers?

Yeah... That's what worked for the passenger side, but the driver's side was a whole different story. I ended up having to disconnect the lower trailing arm, pan hard bar, and shock, as well as remove the bump stop, sway bar, and gas tank skid. I think that my problem was that I had the extra long "long travel" spring which has an uncompressed length of 20" and a 1.5" spacer on top of it. I think I also should have started with the driver's side. That would have made it easier.

As far as the coil over goes, the remote reservoir line is in the way, so I can't get a spanner wrench in there... I can't figure it out short of disassembling the UCA uniball and removing the reservoir mount to get a spanner in there. That, however, seems like a heck of a lot of work for 5/8". :-/

Try using .25" punch or whatever size fits in the hole to turn it. You just want whatever your using to fit fairly tight in the hole.

I use spring compressors to fit my rear springs in.

Also, I'd try using a compressor on your coilovers to try to relieve pressure on the piece you have to turn. That might help you crank em up!
