What did you do with your 4runner today?

I installed a Sprint Booster. I only took a 5 min spin around the neighborhood (and I really couldn't get too aggressive even if I had wanted to since I had dash panels and trim laying throughout the cab), but first impression I really liked it.
I finally installed my stereo! :fencing:
Crutchfield's customer service was outstanding as always, but checkout some of the negative reviews regarding the mounting kits for our 4th gen's.
My first attempt - Metra 95-8210 Dash Kit (Fits select 2003-09 Toyota 4Runner models — double-DIN radios) - this is the kit that Crutchfield told me to purchase for my 4Runner.

This one wouldn't even fit over the head unit and would have taken some serious dremel work. It did however fit the dash (the top trim) well.
Second attempt - Metra 95-8202 Dash Kit (Fits select 2000-up Lexus, Scion, and Toyota vehicles — double-DIN radios) - and this was the one Crutchfield sent me as a replacement kit.

This one was pretty slicked and was a hybrid of factory mounts and the new Metra kit.
However, it was too small for the dash opening.
And the winner is Scosche TA2079B (2006 - up Toyota 4Runner DBL DIN RDS radio Kit)! - Even though this kit is listed as a 2006 - up, the documentation in the kit said 2003 - up and it was the one Scosche recommended for my application on their website.
There were some injection marks here and there in the plastic, but not too bad. Dash fit was perfect......of course I forgot to take a picture of the dash and I still don't have it all back together.

I bought mine here. SprintBooster Power Converter - www.SprintBoosterSales.com, but great shops such as URD is selling them too. I paid $289 shipped.

It was actually processed though a company called MiniMania (as in Mini Cooper), but no issues.

Once I finish my dash sculpting mod to add in my inclinometer, I'll be painting mine satin black. Maybe even bedliner for a more durable finish lol
I used the Firestik K-4a antenna stud. Amazon has them for $7
This works fine but the stud is just a little small for the mounting hole. I planned on getting larger washers to solve this but I haven't had any problems in the 4 months it has been in use so no need to now

Just finished mounting the CB (and mic on custom 3D printed mount) and hooking up a PA loudspeaker. Will route the coax cable tomorrow and install the firestick later this week when the mount arrives in the mail. Better pictures after everything is complete.

Tire Woes..................
Looks like the tires I had when I first bought my Runner. If I offroaded, definitely would've kept them. The tire "roar" on the highway annoyed the piss out of me. Got LTX M/S2 to replace them.
Speaking of tires, went in to Toyota to get an alignment. Truck pulls to the right. They called back saying they couldn't do it b/c the truck was "at spec", they suspected one of the tires was defective (belts in the tire shifted???) and rotated them. Fixed it somewhat, but still pulls. I then called Michelin to ask about the warranty (purchased them in 2010) which I was still under. So, 4 years and 30,000 miles later (6 year, 70K mile warranty), they are going to prorate them and "sell" me new tires. (LTX M/S2). I also complained of dry rot. A mechanic friend told me pretty much all Michelins do that, but the thread lasts forever, Hahha! Regardless, I love them.
She goes in Tuesday so Toyota can take measurements, report to Michelin, then they make a decision on the "prorated" tires.
Of course, I'll report back.

That's all wrong. Take it apart. Look am fire stick website and it will tell you what orientation everything goes in.
