What did you do with your 4runner today?

Installed new wheels and mtr 285's, welded in remote resi brakets, installed rear sway bar bushings, trimmed and cut back fender wells, finished up dual water can holder, installed trasheroo, ran rca cable to back for prep of new backup camera

next up install the oba compressor and tank
weld on the sliders
install the skids
full fluid flushes
rear diff breather mod
rear diff skid welded on
swap out the cheap pos cv for my cvj one that i am rebooting
and god knows what else
wow the list never gets smaller

That's all wrong. Take it apart. Look am fire stick website and it will tell you what orientation everything goes in.

I have tried everything. The problem is that the Comets mount hole is bigger than the mounting stud. I have no clue why this is.

Finally took it wheeling with my brother and his 86 grand wagoner! He's a lot ballsier than I am!

Your wheels plasti-dipped or powder coated? They look pretty good with the chrome toyota logo center cap.

Over the last few weeks I have done a couple of things. Plasti dipped rims, grill and emblems. Half inch body lift and 1.25 spacers

Homemade Rear HD Adjustable Sway Bar Links

My weekend project. Trying to get the rear sway bar geometry a little better. Even a modest 2" lift can cause binding of the end link and bushings on the OEM length sway bar links.

Slapped on some of my new armor.

I got on the Front and the A-Arm skids.

But I had to stop there since I broke the two bolts on the (pass side) xfer case cross bracket. :roadkill:
I'll have to drill them out... yeesh.

Hope your brother knows those Wagoneers are worth big money for whatever reason.

We know. My dad bought it for cheap and my brother kinda took it over. Its in good shape and has the amc 360 in it. We need to get it lifted and a bit bigger tires on it so he can get through more, but for a stock truck at that age, it surprises me all the time!

Thanks! They're plastidipped anthracite metallic. I eventually want to get them powder coated that color.

If it makes you feel any better Im in the same boat haha, I requested that RCI notch my cross member to accept the sliders I have and they werent...and then I broke the exhaust hanger bolt and turned back lol. Only installed the radiator/engine skid today.

Also tried out my new auto lock grease gun fitting...absolutely awsome. Last time I couldn't lock onto to some of the fittings on the driveshaft and had to use pliers and constant hand cleaning to tighten the fitting, not press a button and push and locked.

Is that a firestik stud? I have what i believe is the same stud with the same mount and no complaints. Worst case, get another washer..

Second though, check the PN for me. Might be that you have the stud meant for the fire-ring connector.

You need the K-4A not the K4 if that is the case.

Mine is a K-4A. Bought it from Amazon and it says Antenna mirror mount at the very end.

I will probably swing by lowes tomorrow and get another washer.

I've hated the silver trim on the dash since I first saw it, I finally had the chance to do something about it.
I popped the trim pieces off, cleaned em up and took a gloss black acrylic rattle can to em. Now it looks to me how I feel it should have come off the line.
For the heat-a/c etc window and the gear numbers I just covered them with Frog Tape then took an Xacto knife and sliced around the inner edge leaving them covered and peeled off the rest. Worked great but I shouldn't have had any coffee before doing it.

Looks great man! You going to paint the bezel rings around the speedometer? Did you paint the door trim as well? I would like to see some pics if you did.

N-FAB is correct. They're made for the 5th gen, but work on ours too. I still don't know if I like them on it. I think they'll look better with more of a lift. We'll see when I get my lift on!

Figured I'd try the clay before I apply a sealant so I clayed it today and started buffing it out.
Must've changed pads before I snapped that pic as there isn't any compound on that pad!
Haven't applied any sealant yet.
Got my Raceline Monster 17x9 wheels in Friday.
Probably going BFG at/ko 265/70/17, maybe 275, we'll see...
Coming together slowly.
