Going to be removing mine soon. Wifey is short though, I may have to get a box for her to stand on until I get nerfs/sliders on! Any tips? What do you mean 12 bolts instead of 6?

6 to get the boards off, 6 to get the mounts off.

A10 covered the bolts. You can take off the whole assembly in one step by just removing the six bolts that mount to the body.

Regarding ease of entry, I have two shorties in the form of 7 and 10 year old sons. I'm hoping they treat it as an adventure, but if they have too much difficulty l'll have to put the boards back on. We'll see.

Are you going to put nerf bars or sliders on it eventually? I put nerf bars on my Gen 3 years ago and really liked the way they looked. Did quite a bit of off-road but nothing serious enough to cause any damage, so I'll probably put some on this car.

Only if I get sick of running naked. I don't do any crawling, so don't really need slider functionality. My truck goes exclusively on beaches and the lightest of trails.

By the way, I just did the kid test and both sons had no problem getting in and out.

Got my new head unit installed. It's a Pioneer AVH-X3700BHS. I can't say enough about it! The interface and controls are awesome! I did the parking brake hack with a relay so the Mrs can watch movies while traveling. I also painted the center panel while it was off.

With the reputation of our brakes, you're a brave soul!

I have a Focus ST and some of the guys that have run Tail of the Dragon have (literally) had flaming brakes at the end.

rotation between the headlights is completely off. no reaiming will fix that!!

That photo doesn't really show the aim very well, it was more about how both lights are rotated down on the outside. The aim has a 3" drop on the middle step, but I think that one or both are also aimed wrong on the horizontal as well.

Got the front windows tinted 35%

Kind of hard to see in direct sunlight.

Also got a visor out of 35% as well, still getting used to it, but I think it looks like it belongs there.

Got an alignment, but now it rubs the body mounts when reversing at full lock. Time to looking into chopping them.
