Scrapped the X-Reas

Finally scrapped the X-Reas and installed some Billies.

Now I just have to figure out which side of the ABS harness I stressed...

I ordered a set of assembled wheel bearings from Kevin to replace the Autozone specials (I assume) that the Jaguar dealership installed prior to my purchase.

I installed Bilstiens and one of Kevin's wheel bearings on the driver side today. Took all day to do one side due to having to fight rusty nuts and bolts and changing the strut parts over. I did get the other side preped and the strut done so I will go quicker.

The old wheel bearing came off easy and the new one went on easy, but the inside of the steering knuckle was full of rust and black crap from the old one. Took a while to clean everything up so I could install the new seal and bearing.

Going to tackle the other side tomorrow

What do you clean your engine with?

Changed the air filter and cabin air filter on my son's T4R this morning.

Cycled the 4wd knob several times too.

Any tips on engine bay cleaning? I've always neglected it and mine looks terrible.

Honestly I pick up a couple bottles of rubbing alcohol and Windex. It breaks down all the film and grease including ground connections bolts etc without harming anything like paint, wires,hoses etc. then I use M Tech Protectant by Mothers to give her coat so next time the dust just wipes right off. Both of my runners engine compartments look clean most time from doing this.
