Replaced rear sway bar bushings

Replaced my rear sway bar bushings yesterday. What should have taken 30 minutes took 4 hours because I had to drill out one of the old bolts that snapped. The new brackets and bolts are nice and shiny!

Ran the Ironclads and Coney Flats trails near Nederland yesterday (10/11). First actual trail run in my new 4Runner, and it performed insanely good!!! Steep climbs, descents, river crossings, bogs, pretty much everything we could throw at it. On the trail for about 12 hours What a great day in a great ride!!! Dont have any pics to upload yet but will soon.

Spent all day using dangerous power tools for the first time and hacking this XJ rack to fit my 4r. Not the cleanest, and I still have some more fitting to do (the front is off a little, and might need to raise it more), but it does not budge and I'm proud. For me, $200 + work is still better than $1000+ for a new rack. Next up, DIY wind fairing.

Changed my transfer case and rear diff gear oil to mobil 1, couldn't get the drain plug on the front out and stripped it in the process so I'll be ordering a new one before I beat the hell out of the current one.

Considering that the spark plugs were originals I was surprised to see that the rear wasn't too dirty. Also looks like the fill plug was removed at least once so that was a nice. Transfer case was fairly clean, but I expected that since they replaced my actuator before I took possession.

Today was a product weekend for me and my truck. I ended up going up adjusting my bilsteins in the front a little higher. I did a look over on my suspension and I found out my lower rear shock bolt was missing and I couldn't find any local, so I had to order one. I bought a roof rack off craigslist and did a test fit, I need to have new mounts welded on and make a new wind diffuser but for the price I couldn't pass it up.

Got a lot accomplished today with the help of some friends.

removed, regreased and re-booted driver and passenger cv axles.

Installed two new down stream 02 sensors.

changed front diff fluid to mobile 1 synthetic

Geneva City Trail

Took my Truck up to Geneva Creek, lots of Rocks, Creeks, and Climbing.
Snow up on the peaks. Tested out my Smittybilt winch, it was pulling hard, figured out my Wife had the brakes on! DUHH

Not a bad looking rack. I almost want to pick up a welder and figure out how to weld. I've got about 20-30 feet of 1" square tubing sitting in the garage, maybe more, that was for a project one of my mom's friends never finished. I'm pretty sure I could make a nice rack out of.

Adjusted my alignment a bit, bombed some gravel roads, then took the mall crawler through some mud holes and up some rock steps with another yota buddy. I was impressed with how well it did on these all terrains with 44psi.

This weekend while changing my oil I added a Fumoto F-103N Engine Oil Drain Valve. I had some trouble screwing in the valve and I checked 4 times to make sure I wasn't cross threading it.

A day later, I have a small, manageable, pool of oil on my garage floor. I don't want to over tighten the valve, but is there any guidance you guys can offer?

I used the washer provided with the valve. Should I have used the original washer from the bolt as well? Is there a torque value for the new valve?

Are you sure you have the correct valve? The thread could be a different pitch causing the hard installation.

Just checking on my CV reboot job from yesterday, making sure nothing is leaking or the clamps did not shift after about 75 miles put on it. Everything looks good to me.

I thought of that, but have a thread gauge tool and the threads match each other.

Nothing crazy but wanted to make sure the new tires don't rub when the suspension droops or compresses.

The do rub slightly on the upper control arm when hard over.

You have any pictures of your reverse aux lights on the basket on? Was wondering how much interference there is with the rear spoiler, as I have been looking into this option?

I don't. There's a good 8' at least. I have one under the hitch as well. They do okay when backing the trailer etc. For area lighting I love my hatch light.
