What did you do with your 4runner today?

Got aligned. Not entirely happy with the +0.5 camber but oh well.

OEM UCA? Your numbers look way better than mine with a 2.5" lift, I'm guessing they didn't touch the lower control arm cams on mine.

Yeah I only replaced the strut assemblies, everything else is stock.

Finally have a couple of dry days in a row so I got under the truck and sprayed everything with fluid film. Went on pretty easily and cleanly. It's not toxic so there was no fumes or anything to worry about. I only used two cans. If you have a lift available I'm sure you could use more than that and spray in deeper but as for crawling under the truck that was about all I could do.

We'll see how it holds up through the winter I guess. Despite 10 winters in New England, the frame is in pretty nice shape and certainly has a lot of life left in it. Yearly or biannually undercoating with fluid film will certainly help prolong that.

Try to take pictures but it just didn't photograph well at all.

Did you ever get in touch with rci about the fit of the sliders? I've got some coming in the mail this week and would like to know if you were just unlucky or if your's weren't the only ones that were too high.

Just put mine on this weekend. Had to trim a couple millimeters off the rear passenger door, but I'm very happy with the fitment. On the drivers side I was able to attach 6 bolts and 3 carriage bolts. Seem pretty damn secure to me.

Where did you attach the carriage bolts on the driver's side? I had nowhere to push them through other than near the gas tank and they hit the tank.

Also, why trim the passenger side door? The sliders are adjustable up and down.

Took off the resonator in the back and rerouted the exhaust to the side. Wasn't expecting much change in sound if any at all, but I can definitely hear it! :biggrin2:

There are three spots in front of the tank that fit. I believe they were even with the first three on the passenger side. The last one required that I bend the top corner of the gas tank skid with a hammer just a bit. All in all I had one carriage bolt and one smaller bolt left over.

And I trimmed the door because it was only a few millimeters and I liked where the sliders sat.

I'll have to look at my driver side again then, because I'm 99% positive there were no holes through the frame in the same area as the passenger side. I remember trying to stick them through and hitting the gas tank skid though. I wonder if my transfer case skid cross member is blocking them.

A little accessorizing, just added this custom TRD red vinyl decal I found on eBay for under $5 and it's a very nice contrast to the dark grey paint I must say

And this just came in yesterday but my 12" black T4R.ORG vinyl decal I ordered from [MENTION=165]momo.75[/MENTION] it looks stealthy and clean as hell

Tire fail

First of all 1 out of the 5 tires I bought from Discount Tire had a hole, so I have no spare atm. Have to praise Discount tire customer service, had a return label 5 min after calling them, no hassle.

However bigger fail, I had the tires mounted at a small local shop I've used many times before... last time I use them, I have now some bad vibration over 55-60mph and after a little research found about the special machine and adapter required to balance our wheels. More time and money wasted... the ride home tonight will be pretty slow.

Oh also the spare was mounted upside down (I mean face down) so the surface finish is completely messed up...

I picked up a Napa CV axle last night. I have the same exact issue. Will swap this weekend.
