What did you do with your 4runner today?

Didn't think this through before install. Where's the best place to mount the rear remote reservoir? Mine came with the billet body clamps not the frame mounting plates. Upside down? Right side up? Inboard, outboard, front or rear of shock body? Obviously the hose length is a limiting factor too.

Edit: big thanks to EdmundGTP for giving me a link to his very informative thread on installing the same suspension setup. I my rear reservoir lines were different than his so I did the best I could for now. Suggestions still welcome. Rides so nice though [emoji106]

Installed heated mirrors. My '04 was pre-wired for the heating element. 20 minute swap

Freshened up the interior a bit.. That top panel needs to be rewrapped soon but I ran out of wrap so I couldn't redo it :/ Made a newbie mistake and heated it too much and melted right through. Oh whale.. First time wrapping went fairly well I'd have to say

Installed my Cornfeild custom spacers from Jason B. I had Radflo 2" coils in the back but wanted 2.5" of lift and to level the driver/passenger side. I had him make me a 1" for drivers side and 1/2" for passenger. I can finally say I am happy with my lift/ stance!

Do you have wheel spacers? I once had a shop forget to torque down my spacers and they came loose. A couple weeks after the appointment. Ended up shearing the lugs off.

Yes I do run spacers. Had wheels balanced again. Minimal difference. Had wheel spacers removed. More of a difference but still an issue.

Dropped off truck today for another alignment and to push Caster closer to 4 as most people say that is the sweet spot to get rid of the "floaty feel" after lifting. Will get truck back tomorrow and see if there is any difference. If not it will go to shop on Wednesday for diagnostic check on all suspension and steering.

Went camping on Flagpole Knob in VA. My mostly-stock 4G kept up nicely with the lifted Jeeps!

It was cold, wet and miserable most of the weekend (until the day we left, of course)....but good company and good wheelin!

Who else did something neat today?

I tried to get the rear turn signal bulb out of its socket but it just won't come out. Is there a trick to it? It looks like it has tabs that are keeping it in and I'm leery of using I don't even know what to pry it out without breaking the bulb. Any ideas?

I just replaced mine. Just twist the socket to the left, to line up the tabs with the openings. Then pull out the bulb from the socket. Then re-insert the new bulb in socket, into the opening, line up tabs to openings, and twist to your right to lock. Same thing with the other side. It should take 5-10 minutes.

If you're past this part and trying to get the bulb out of the socket ... try some latex or other type gloves. When I replaced mine, that's what I had to use to get enough grip on the bulb to pull it out of the socket.

Replacing my LED bar and bumper this weekend, also going to bake my retrofitted headlights and try to clean out the outgassing that showed up on the inside of the lenses. Should be a fun weekend :frisky:

Ended up having to work all weekend, had to push this fun out till next Saturday :(

Changed the plugs out. My '07 just turned 70k mi, I suspected it was on the original plugs and was correct. All the old plugs looked pretty good, electrode condition and color was fine, but all were gapped out to around 0.055. New factory DENSO's in and she starts a little quicker and the butt dyno says throttle response is improved.

Such a nice change working on an engine bay that has some breathing room. My Saab was a 2.8 Aero and that V6 was seriously packed in there, not to mention the PITA that is trying to reach the rear bank on a transverse mount engine.

Next up: Full fluids flush/change and fluid film undercoat before the snow flies.
