PIA to do. Mangled my socket last time while trying to torque it to my own weight. I think my torque wrench is too short.

Ya a longer handled torque wrench is great for those higher numbers! I'm a fairly big guy though, so my weight is more than sufficient. Lol

Spent the afternoon helping people out today. We had a small storm here and because we never get snow people freak out. So I drove around helping some people get unstuck or in this case pulled this guy up from an embankment and then helped him put his chains on.
I put some temporary yellow and white strobe emergency lights on so it worked like a charm warning people of the upcoming danger.

FN Overlander Wheels
Finally ordered my FN Overlander wheels. A couple months I called FN about the TRD Pro replica wheels and Dustin told me these were coming out. They are a replica of the TRD simulated bead lock wheels but in 17" x 8.5" wide w/ a -6 offset. Had the TRD version on my 01 Tacoma. Always wanted to put them on my 4Runner but didn't want to settle for a 16". FN has a couple different colors with and without a bead lock. If anyone wants any additional pictures I have a bunch Dustin sent me.

Damn that looks amazing. I am so happy that C4 decided to make something for our early 4th gens. Any idea how hard the install is? I have to imagine it bolts right to the frame where the factory crash guard is, and then you just need to cut the bumper right?

So next issue, tried locking the center dif and the light just blinks no matter what I try. Forward, reverse, neutral, stopped, rolling, nothing... It will shift 4hi to 4lo just fine.
I have been trying to figure out for some time now, when parked and I put the truck in gear, or reverse to drive it clunks. Driveshafts and cv's are tight, dif's seem to be tight, and I've been suspecting the transfer case. More motivation for an FJ case I guess, but not sure what's going on.
I also can hear what sounds like a dif whine under acceleration. It's quiet and really hard to hear over my exhaust. I have to barely touch the throttle while rolling down the road to hear it. Let off the throttle and it goes away instantly. Can't tell where it's coming from though. Any ideas from anyone?

Ya I forgot about needing to press the button too. I shifted into 4lo many times, so that's working. Oh well... $350 for an FJ case plus shifters I guess. One of these days!
