Repaired damaged wiring in my new-to-me 2003 Limited rig! Super clean, surprised to see a hack-ish looking job on this upon opening it up. Front cigarette lighter in pic, rear was simply unplugged behind the panel. Any ideas why that rear one was unplugged?

Is/was your speaker system JBL at all? You have to pull the rear panel to get at the amp back there, and if someone tried that it's easy to forget to plug the lighter back in (I have forgotten many times).

looks like someone use that to tap for power while the key is in acc.
good thing you repair it, ever found out where the other wires went?

Installed the ARB touring rack today.

Like it a lot so far, really solid. Its heavy, get a friend to help lift it.

The rear mounting holes for the base were an absolute PITA to get in though but now its all good. The washers they supplied did NOT fit down inside the foot, I had to file them flat on either side to get them to fit. And there was a shit ton of dried Loctite on the bolts that had to come off, messed up one of the mounting hole in the roof, glad I had a tap to clean it up.

Only a little wind noise at freeway speeds, I'll fix that some day but not that bad.

I also was able to modify my old Yakima spare tire mount to fit as well, so bonus there. A couple of new holes for the mounting bolts and 4 steel clamps from Lowes.

And the sun roof pops open just fine too, just clears the bolts.

Found my old devil horn emblem from my first Tacoma. A trip to the hardware store and I got that sucker mounted up.

4th Gen C4 Low-pro install w/winch & other goodies.

A big shout out to Michael at Adventure Motors (https://adventure-motors.com/) for doing the install. They are a great group of people doing great work on Toyota rigs. I can't say enough good things about them and highly recommend them for sourcing or building out a rig.

Just picked up the 4Runner today with a C4 Fabrication Lo-Pro winch bumper install with LED light and license plate mount (06-09 4Runner | C4 Fabrication).

Also had Adventure Motors hook me up with an ARB diff breather kit, ARB on-board air, and a CB install. Ready to get out on the trails!

Panic Button

Joined the bandwagon and got two new key fobs from AJT Design. Switching them over was very straight-forward, and I'm very happy to have a much better fob case.

Getting ready to buy one soon, but do you find the panic button is harder to push on these? On the one I have now almost every time I take it out of my pocket and unlock it, I accidentally set off the alarm and this especially isn't good early in the morning to leave for work. These look like the button isn't as easy to bump, which I think I would like better.

I've never accidentally set off/pushed the panic button for what it's worth.

sounds alot cleaner than the 2 15s i had. i got about 1600 watts on 1 ohm load from my amp, its plenty loud and clean. cargo space is about the same when i had the ported box for the 15s.

Replaced Wheel Bearings

Replaced both side wheel bearing assemblies. Driver was on it's way out and passenger was past due. No more bearing noise! These were a PITA to get off...broke 3 flat heads and a chisel but they eventually came off. Now to diagnose this squeak when I turn left....

Nope, 2007 SR5 with 5th gen TRD Off Road wheels. It sees a decent amount of dirt and mud. I have had the CV's replaced a while back and now the bearings. Only thing I can think of now is something with my brakes which I will be replacing soon as well. 138k miles

What other wires? You see extra wiring in the front center console picture I posted? I saw one plug (nothing connected), I wonder if it's already wired for a front LED light bar or something.... I'll have to check.
