What dealer did you have the trans flush done at and how much? David Maus over here in Sanford quoted me about $240 for the full system flush the right way, but haven't had a chance to do it yet and it is just precautionary since I don't have much service history on mine. You say it is smoother now, but did you notice any shifting issues beforehand or just did it out of caution?

It was like $180 but I got $20 off. I went to Toyota of Clermont where I live. I did notice at low speeds in traffic that shifting wasn't as smooth, it wasn't slipping or banging into gear or anything but I figured a flush wouldn't hurt. It smoothed it out in stop and go traffic.

For what it’s worth, I did the radiator line method to swap in/out 12 quarts. Super easy. I noticed no difference but mine was precautionary. I’m at 146k and no indication whether it had ever been done. The fluid came out still slightly red when I started, so maybe?

I picked up a few things over the past couple weeks that'll make it into my build thread eventually. I did get a scar on my front bumper this past Saturday morning though. What a story too, I was headed back to my parents house early morning and this dude comes out of the gas station headed the wrong way into traffic. I had to come to a stop and he's stopped right in front of my 4Runner. I couldn't reverse because there were cars behind me and he just proceeds to turn and drive his entire side of his car against my front bumper and just drives away like nothing happened. My mind was so blown from what was going on that I didn't even had the reflex to pull out my phone to record the incident. I still have to file the police report on the incident. My friend says that he can repair the damage with light sanding and spot paint fix.
The day before I went to a local shop to talk to someone about fabbing up a rear tail gate setup similar to Inv4drZm before he went full rear bumper setup. Unfortunately my rear frame, specifically where the setup would weld to has alot of rust. It would either require repair to the frame or a frame replacement to really install a setup like that. I'll have to pull the rear bumper cover at some point to assess the extent of the cancer. I knew this was going to come up at some point. East coast salt history wouldn't be pretty and this was one of those times. He gave me an estimate on repairing the frame itself along with building the tire carrier. We'll see, there's other things I also need to tend to, like finding an FJ axle with an e-locker and maybe a front bumper now that I have a semi excuse to get one.

Got my LED flasher relay tonight and figured I would quickly put it in after dinner...oooh boy that was more of a knucklebuster than I thought, 45 min later I replaced the relay and tested it with my new LED Amber rear turn signals and it works! No more hyperblinking!
Now I gotta do the deep socket trick to replace the front turn signals on the driver side(passenger side is easy) but I'll do that this weekend when I do my rear diff oil.

Today I added a dual USB plug that also tells voltage. I put it next to my backup camera and wired it to the cig lighter plug in the console. Pretty simple and only a bit of soldering. I mounted it on a piece of 1/4" furniture plywood and used 3M tape to hold it to the plastic behind it. I did have to drill a big enough hole for it to recess into the dash a bit.

Got my Dobinsons suspension kit installed and alignment done! Total lift is about 1.5” with rake. Drives better than new! This is how it should have come from the factory.
Coils: C59-300/C59-599 w/FL 5mm spacer

Picked it up after getting new SPC uca, tie rods, alignment, rear swaybar removed and RSG body mount chop. installed Volant intake, still need to install ditch lights/brackets, and wire up front led lights.

Replaced Gas Cap and removed Hydrocarbon Filter
No photos, sorry. I ordered a genuine Toyota replacement fuel filler cap and installed that. Took like a minute. Went ahead and removed the hydrocarbon filter, too. That took about 10 minutes.

One of the reflectors was slightly popped out of place, so I contacted the seller and they're shipping me a new light on Monday with a return label for the old one. They look and fit awesome, and are DOT approved!

Yesterday:
Coolant flush and filled with Toyota super long life pink fluid. Noticed car was pulling a bit to the right(even though I got a 4 wheel alignment and new tires) after doing a test drive with the tech, they simply crossed the front wheels and that fixed it. Both were done at the Toyota dealership.
Today:
Diff service with Mobil 1 full synthetic gear oil. It was obvious that the fluid was probably never changed, it was very dark and there was a lot of fine deposits on the drain plug. No shinies in the oil or chunks of metal however. Had to use a lot of PB Blaster and a cheater bar to get the damn fill plug off. Next up is replacing my front turn signals and HVAC bulbs with LEDs, those should be in today!

Explored the woods a bit scouring out a campsite to use during Overland Expo East (its gonna be an hour from me, so some friends and I are making a weekend out of it).
Then extended my diff breather, cleaned/aired up my spare tire, and did some rust prevention/cleaning about the spare tire.
