What did you do with your 4runner today?

took delivery of a few parts to start the pile. Custom car grills insert + white classic style badge. Powerstop Z36 front and rear brake kit. Calipers, rotors and pads. Next week ill be ordering new extended rear links, stainless steel brake lines front and back. Also have about 60-70 days until my new wheels get here. Slowly adding parts. I have an idea of stocking up until black friday when i can get a few other things that i want that will hopefully go on sale then install everything in December hopefully. Getting realllll excited. :snacker:

The amount of times I've gone through the pictures thread, lift thread and even your build thread at least a couple times, honestly in shock you hadn't done it yet. I know everyone has their jams and jellies but lets go! Keeping the all black theme with the Toyota logo?

What a coincidence, my CC Satoshi grille came in today too!
Except...my mail carrier was having a bad day apparently.
We're taking care of it tho, no problem, all good things are worth waiting for.
Well, in 4Runner land it ain't nothin' but a party.
Ordered new (black) carpet and seat covers last night.
Changing up the look of the interior as well as the exterior.
After pulling the entire interior to install that Killmat, switching up the carpet is just a blink of an eye.
And I got the rear door speakers installed, wired, finished, and doors back together.
As well as mounting the Re-Purposed JBL box in the truck.
It's coming together.

I had wanted a Satoshi grill for the longest time when I still had my 03-05 grill but they weren't the best for modding. They didn't have enough structure for that mod. Then when I got the Demello bumper and changed to the 06-09 grill I actually had to cut a good bit off the bottom of the grill. Since I had to cut that off I was in the same boat where there wasn't enough structure. Come to find out the difference in the 03-05 & 06-09 Demello bumpers is that the 06-09 have a section of the top plate cut out so it allows the grill to go down past the top plate. I am going to cut my bumper so it allows the grill to clear so I can make a proper Satoshi. I am going to go without any emblem....at least for now. I have one that I might try but still pretty sure I am going plain....and all black.

Links worked. Thanks for doing that! This has been way down on my list of "fun mods" to mess around with if I ever got time. What did you use? How much?
Would love to hear a video of it driving with the valve closed and then opened up whenever you get the time. Pretty surprising that the idle tone didn't change that much but I think it's probably because of the leaks like you mentioned.

The cutout itself was an $82 JDMSPEED piece from eBay. I wanted the dual butterfly design so that exhaust flow to the muffler is blocked when the other valve is open. I purchased a couple of Walker 2 1/2" lap joint clamps (33220) from RockAuto for $15. I still want to get a short 90 tip installed to redirect the exhaust down.

Sooo I was planning on ordering a few new parts this upcoming week like I mentioned the other day buuuuuuuuuuut the OG alternator decided to finally take a poop at 162k miles and the battery is 5 years old sooo parts money went to not so fun but much needed parts.
