Same here, I was driving a 2004 civic LX coup.
It just didn't feel right wearing a suit and tie and getting into that car anymore. Now the 2011 SR5 4x4 black on black feels about just right.

T4R was a huge departure for me, but I don't regret it one bit. Not dumping all my time and money into silly cars parts has allowed me to discover and pursue other passions...namely cycling.

2004 VW Touareg V6 –
More solid feel, top quality interior and somewhat better ride than my 2010 T4R Limited. Also, my Treg was a very good unibodied off-roader, BUT V6 was underpowered, the inside space was too small, it was heavier than my T4R, Treg constantly at dealer getting small things fixed (nav, cracked wood panels, constant TPMS warnings of flat tires, park assist problems, etc. - when warranty ran out, everything very expensive to fix and even when in warranty many hassles to get things fixed plus time!
Have had my 2010 T4R Limited for 1 year, almost to the day, and absolutely NO problems (7800 miles). For the price, the Limited T4R's interior should be higher quality and body side panels/doors and hood should be a little thicker (only problem is that this would add weight and reduce MPG and I understand reasoning for this decision, although I would prefer thicker metal and plastic). I’m, however, ABSOLUTELY satisfied with my 4R (take that Consumer Report) and can pass the dealership's service department without the beast wanting or needing to pull in or be pulled in!! Couldn't say that for the Treg!!

The absolute worst vehicles and service I ever had were with the GM cars (well, the GTP was ok). A shady business manager at a GM dealership conned me out of my GTP. Neither the dealership or GM cared at all. Almost got screwed over again in 2003 with a bait and switch by an Acura dealership. By 2006 local Acura service was **** poor and I was tired of driving a 6 speed in winter.
I've learned a few hard, expensive lessons along the way.
