trading gears and i need to know what is the easiest wyay to do it!?
what is the easiest way to swap out front and rear diff gears?!

if i had to do it all over again i would think swapping the whole rear axle is easier than just swapping the rear diff. but then again you cant get in it and clean it all out. if your just gonna swap it in the truck i would use a floor jack to break the silicone and lower it down.
the front is a pain in the a$$ if you dont drop the front crossmember "cross member the diff is conected to" . after you unbolt everything just use a floor jack to lower it out and then do the oppisite to get everything back together

It you don't get your back lash right on your gear's you will blow them fast, if you don't know what i'm talking about have a shop install your gear's.

But i have a question, why are you trading? Did you get picture's making sure his gear's are good and not blown nor missing any teeth? What ratio does he have and what ratio do you have?

he is using his as a dd and wants 4.88 he said his are in good condition...he hasent taken them apart yet though

You might want to make sure his are in good shape. What size tire's you running? Is your IFS up front? If so is his to?

im running 33s now but im going to 35 soon andd ifs as in independent front suspension??

i know i have torsion bars in the front..i thought thats all the 2nd gens came with?

to be honest i didnt even ask but i will as soon as he gets back to me. im 17 yrs old and as soon as i herd this i was like this is such a great deal...didnt even think bout that. good looking out man!
